Second Poll: improvements/new directions in incest-themed games

There I was curious about what people felt was the main recurring fault in incest-themed games. It was negative in that was I trying to figure what people DON'T want. Now I'm curious to know what they DO want. I've tried to think of many as things possible. No doubt the options aren't perfect. My apologies for that. Also - this one has unlimited selectable responses.

I would agree with that, the "pay off" e.g. sex, might take longer to come around if the Mc is a nice guy (depending on the writing). But imo it's better when the girl is doing it coz she genuinely wants to from the beginning, not blackmailed into it then halfway through decides "actually i like this".

Story wise it also makes more sense. To use Milfy City as an example the situation with Caroline. Thing's are developing plausibly, it was an outsider (Judy) who got the Mc to think about his sister sexually. From there thing's are growing naturally as Caroline comes to depend on the Mc more, since in her word's he is the only one whose actually there for her. If the Mc is the sneaky/deceptive sort, it requires more suspension of belief. The Mc essentially wakes up one morning and suddenly decides "my family who i've lived and grown up with for 18+ years are actually hot, i'm gonna fuck em". It's like a switch gets flicked somewhere and any familial feelings the Mc had evaporate and are replaced by lust.

Yeah, giving freedom of will is a great direction. Let's give them the right to choose what to do and what not to do. After all, MC technically can just leave any scene at any moment. Even if there will be consequences :biggrin:

Tbf the Celia stuff is only if the player chooses to go after her. Icstor made every girl optional so if your not in to that then you can choose not to see/do it.

Aside from the things that have already been touched on (like the very good point @carnalcardinal made on another thread about sexual tension), incest-themed games have a couple other things in common; keeping the MC inside a tiny little comfort zone and total acceptance.

In Big Brother, the little fucker never even left the house until like update 10 or some shit. Seriously, he was an anti-social recluse who never left the house so he could beat off all the time in his room because he was obsessed with sex 24/7. I can honestly relate to that a just a little :test:.

The other part is total acceptance. The idea that not only the people that knew me best but the women who knew me best could find out about my dark little obsessions and not only accept them in me, but that they're also perverted little horn-dogs and want me to be a part of acting out their own dirty little fantasies... Dunno about you peeps but I hide from everyone. That part is really appealing to me too.

I choose many of the options :winkytongue: because there was many good ones here, that I agree with. But the 2 main ones is "Less grinding and find-this-fetch-that" so many games are like this, and I don't think its a good and fun machanics, just makes me quit the games most time or feel sick of them.

Other thing is "MC is a better person", this is very rare in many games. Most games the MC and also most people are unrealisticly mean and rude to everyone, its a bit silly and also to me un-sexy. A few points I'd enjoy in the genre:

- More lesbian content: And I mean lesbian content as the main plot, not as a side show. MFF threesomes don't count. Neither do lesbian performances for male characters. Best game of this variant is After Invasion that lets players chose the MC's gender, so everyone gets the stuff he wants.

- More fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian and post-apocalyptic games. I know this is always a question of personal preference and I have to admit that I simply like stories in these settings more than stories set in the present time real world. But for incest games it has the added bonus of requiring less realism than a present day game.

- In my opinion the MCs don't need to be better people in an ethical sense. They can be and in most cases should be villains, but more in the Darth Vader or Joker sense than in the Joffrey sense. Or more simply: They should be in some way relateable and they should not be teenage virgins (of either gender) nor creepy grandpas. There are plenty of options for protagonists, some that come to my mind are:
- A mad scientist (of either gender) who investigates a certain gene, present only in one family.
- A warlord in a nuclear wasteland (best for m/S-games, might work for other constellations as well).
- An ambitious young witch eager to steal leadership of her coven from her mother and enslave her in the process.
- A demon able to posess whoever he wants.
- The heir (of either gender) of a great fortune. His or her father died and gave all the money to his son/daughter, punishing his unfaithful wife in the process and thus making her dependent on their child.
- A warrior who was taken from his or her family at a very early age to be trained in an elite unite.
- A domina and owner of a bdsm club who tells her prudish mom about her profession.

- NO more shota and loli stuff! No characters with child-like features please! And for m/s games: Make the sons taller than the moms.

I agree 100% with this.

More lesbian stuff would be fantastic. I don't care if it's incest or not (prefer not to be honest, incest isn't really my thing).

I hated Good Girl Gone Bad for that very reason. For so long it only had straight content with a tiny bit of lesbian stuff as a side distraction. It's only recently the lesbian stuff got fleshed out and it's still hidden behind a ton of straight content.

I'm not slamming anyone but if i'm playing a female protag I don't want to chase blokes.

I tried it now the lesbian stuff has content but it's still not something i'll play again. It took far too long to get rid of a boyfriend I didn't want despite being a cunt to him from day 1 and then had penis aimed at me everywhere I went.

This is probably what turned me off incest to start with.

I'm in my 30's but closer to 40. Not only that but I lost my virginity quite young and never had any problems with the opposite sex.

I can't relate to a virgin kid that stutters every time he happens to see a bit of flesh or can't focus on anything but breasts the second a pair enter his vision.
