That wasn't the question at all, not even close.
You pitched the idea for a generic, bland game we've seen a hundred times before.
The question was how to do devs improve that so they aren't boring as fuck.
I shouldn't really expect much from someone that still hasn't realised incest is banned from Patreon and incest games need to be changed to stay up there.
See title of thread:
Second Poll: improvements/new directions in incest-themed games
If you don't want to talk about making incest games, why are you even here?
Beyond that, I didn't pitch a game. I pitched game
elements that the vast majority of authors are usually too lazy/nervous to do: actually address the fetish, make hardcore sex scenes (it is
much easier to just show naked ladies alone in a room than have naked ladies and dudes having penetrative sex with cum, but the latter is in my opinion essential to a good sex game), and code something more complicated than the tired-as-fuck VN game where you click through mindless dialogue until boobs show up that everybody and their mother can make in Ren'Py so that their game is instead at least a little fun to play.
The OP didn't ask whether or not you could make incest games on Patreon (patches are a great thing), and I never said (and would never say) that Patreon is the only platform on which to make games.
More broadly speaking, my point is that the theme/setting/protagonist's outlook/believability of plot or not is absolutely not the problem here. The real problem is that nobody wants to play an incest porn game that isn't an incest porn game at all.
As far as ideas, that shit is easy. Actually spend some time playing the games that are out there, think about the sort of thing
you want to play, and spend at least a week actually
planning your game and considering what you can make based on your skills and resources before starting off. Having an asshole protagonist can be as fun as having a nice one. Having a dumb-but-fun plot can be better than a really serious and emotional plot if you do it right. You only feel comfortable making a game in a house? Make a game in a house, but make a floorplan first, think through the relationships between the characters and their histories, and decide whether you want a realistic schedule for the characters or to sacrifice realism for fun/sexitude.
The real truth is there's no shortcut to making a good game. There's no checklist of things you should avoid to lazily crap out some gold. Time and effort and thought are what can do it relatively reliably. But if you just want to make a quick buck, I can't help you. I don't care about your wallet. I just want good games. And if the game
is good, I might pay up. So bear that in mind.
