Actually, scratch that, I'm kinda mad that NTR gets to be the thing people see first when they look at the tag list and all that, it's a management game where you can fuck your employees with the swinging angle being locked behind a fairly pricey upgrade. why's this game getting treated like an NTR game anyways?

That's because this game is being presented by dev as a harem game with swinging/netorase elements, and not as conventional netorare. And tags just don't represent variety well, but soon it will change!

Fantastic news, Cynthia's been getting the short end of the stick for awhile now. I guess there was the gurya whatever couple, but that was kinda meh imo; nothing has come close to the much earlier scenes with her and jock or her and football.

That's the way every game with even the smallest amount of swinging content gets treated by the perpetually insecure masses - the very notion, however small, that a girl character could sexually enjoy someone else (and not even on your playthrough, but that it's merely possible in the game universe!) will violently trigger them.

You know what, fair enough. Personally, I'm not into Netorare but swinging I can kinda go either way. The bigger issue I have with the swinging content is that I'm really split thanks to how it's implemented, it feels like you could have made a slightly different game with Cynthia as the main character (and maybe downplayed her relationship with Sergil a little) and I'd probably eat that content up, but as is I care too much about the girls' relationships with Sergil to consider it, but now I imagine that changing stuff like that would just be totally missing the point anyways. Ah well, maybe I am one of the insecure masses and I'm just having a delusion of eloquence here.Uhh are you new here?

Nah, you aren't, they get triggered by amicable swinging setups too. Myself I don't like ntr, but I like swinging where both people are just alpha and chill not this 'lets humilate mc' bullshit.
Hmm I'm not sure because I've never had a playthrough with high level girls and no pins, perhaps someone else knows.

Right? Like, fine it's not undert the technical definition ntr, but ntr for years and years by this point is more about the vibe rather than the actual act. The ntr purists are actually pretty obnoxious.
For sake of those who want to avoid anything like this - indeed it fits and will be useful as a label for them to avoid.
On the other hand, for those like myself who hate ntr and love sharing/swinging, it's useful distinction between the two.
Though I think what James the mighty was more musing at wasn't the definition but the oversized influence/impact the [swinging/ntr whatever you wanna call it] stuff will have on perceptions of the game. Like if someone were to try and describe the game in one sentence, they might say "2d cafe management game with sexy maids", whereas too many f95 posters would simply describe it as "NTR GAME!"
Yes, you get me Johnny! Granted I don't think I've seen all the game's content yet (not including said swinging content) but so far I've sunk a couple of afternoons into the game and had a good time with the management gameplay and the story of the characters and learning their secrets (plus whatever the fuck the mafia wants from us). From my perspective, it's a good management game with a neat story about a developing little harem, and when the game gives you the option of letting your girls fuck clients suddenly all that means nothing because everyone's too busy going insane over the fact there's quasi-NTR content in this game. Nevermind it takes a lot of investment to get those scenes, the fact this content even exists blinds a lot of people to what the game is all about, and I fucking despise that trend, because it seems to happen every time a game gets the NTR tag, now it's all anyone talks about. Ultimately what I'd like to see is a simple message in the game's dev notes or somewhere that clarifies if the NTR stuff is avoidable, and how prevalent it is.
on a tangential note, I'd love it if people would do something similar for other rather notorious hot-button tags like scat/urination/guro. if I can skip the shit I don't wanna see, or it's only a scant 2-3 scenes I might still pick up a game, but if it's like a major kink I'm out.
