The last progress report said this:
"Just a short progress report. Work on update v0.16 is well underway. It will feature some exciting scenes.
I've focused on the story and have already implemented several key scenes. About half of the art and animations are done, along with one of the two missions. A couple of new maps and tracks have also been made.
I've created a new "social media feed" mechanic that fits naturally into the story's progression alongside Link content. It is unlocked as this update unfolds.
On the technical side, I've found a way to encode videos in higher quality while reducing both file size and performance cost.
I may add another major scene if time allows. The goal is to release the update within the month, and it's already shaping up to be a story-heavy one.

Do what you will with this. I hope that there is news this weekend.
And don't expect a share right away, sometimes there are hotfixes and stuff a few days later. Also a bit of additional time before a leak means a bit more income for the developer. And that means more motivation for developement.

He doesn't avoid it, he just hasn't posted there in a little over a month stop being so melodramatic. So long as the updates come out, it's not a big deal.

Must suck being a dev. Most of the f95 comment threads I watch regularly turn into a lot of whining and complaining.
The problem i have with Haldane is that he just won't give any update after his planned schedule is nolonger on time.
I wouldn't mind it if he would say the new update is planned for first or second week in November. Or if he would write on patreon "sorry guys but it won't be before November, instead expect it between 5th and 10th."
It's less the delay itself and more the lack of information that is bothering me. It was the same for the last update, 3 weeks later than he wrote yet no message.
Just write one line on patreon, say it gets postponed, you're sorry and when you expect it to be ready. One line.

I agree, I watched many devs disappear this way and it's making me anxious for this game too. Communication got less and less.

Because it's completely fine to post so rarely on a Discord server specifically dedicated to talking about the game? He's more active on the damn Patreon, lol.
The reason he avoids it is because he can't handle criticism: his last few updates have been riddled with progression bugs and scenes not triggering properly - as well as unhealthily focusing on developing more & more minigames for the game instead of actual lewd content (the reward for which is not even a fully nude render of any girl
).- If you think I'm exaggerating, then just remember that the latest 'flappy bird' minigame works flawlessly, while the newest "lewd" scene with Eva threw so many errors people didn't even know it was added.
Worst part is that you have no idea if it's a bug or if it's because you have to do something specific that's cunningly hidden first.

You realise that most Devs are exactly the same? Probably too busy with trying to push out the update to stop people complaining or, hear me out here, actually living their life and enjoying time to themselves. Yeah it's annoying but at the end of the day devs are still people and need a day off every once in a while.
Doesn't apply to devs who go months without an update or progress report when they're making good money from donations though - those guys are pricks.

No matter how many devs do it, it's bad each time. If you are providing a product that people are paying for, or that you are trying to get people to pay for, you have a duty to address them. That's not an annoyance, it's called being professional.
I have a feeling 0.2 will be the dev's last update.....before its abandon

But it will be worth the wait - we are getting 75% minigames, 20% story progress, and 5% lewds (no nudes though, more bikini shots and wishful thinking)...
