The game has been in development since February 2024, that's almost two years ago now. People have been complaining about the missions since pretty much day 1. At some point you gotta figure out that this is just what the dev wants to make. From what I can tell you can't see how many people are subbed to him on Patreon, but his decisions don't seem to be affecting his revenue. And even if they do, he doesn't seem to care enough to change things. Treat this as a passion project tbh, I doubt the dev is starving for money.
I've been here since day one, there was barely any complaining when I subscribed to his patreon back then. Patrons were either indifferent or positive. One thing that hasn't changed though is the doom or vague posting here on F95 that he's losing patrons or that people will inevitably end up leaving.
Those people who'd make those complaints I guarantee for the most part still download the every update that's released here. I'm not sure why people bring up the 1 year thing so much, you should know that I know you've seen plenty more projects on this site that have been stuck in constant burn out, limited content releases, stopping and re-starting their projects after sometimes years of hiatus.
Home Prisoner is a great example, same genre. Many years still on, no lewd at all besides from a dream sequence. More recently WE:Another World, developer went into immediate burn out 2 updates in. Life After Victory, same thing as Haldane, doesn't like talking to his community anymore 2 updates a year. So no matter how bad things may seem, they can always be much worse.
