This game is too focused on the "game" part instead of the "lewd" part; 15 updates later, and we are yet to see any of the OTHER girls do something explicit (with another man)... except that one scene with Fei (which was a flashback).

And even then, the amount of gameplay stuff Haldane is adding is insane for a game who still has critical progression bugs every update.

At least the dev gives it a shot for developing a game instead of a scene collector, if it were just a scene collector I wouldn't even have opened it in the first place. I do agree that the dev is thinking way too much in that direction but then again I do also understand how hard it is to decide what to develop next so that stuff doesn't come off as too rushed now. What I think the dev should do is he should connect the minigames to immediate scenes with Desmond to make them actually rewarding (some of them do but they are way too mild).

Personnally, even if some games take a bit too much time, I really enjoy them. It's a well used tool to pull you in this universe.

My biggest criticism is how slow the pace is when you try to go outside and check if anything new or different appeared. I think a shortcut to the outside that you unlock at some point would help the pace a bit

Navigating the map is the least of the game's problems; the lack of reward for exploring very much is.

Jon's minigames are not worth trying to get the "perfect" score for, since they "reward" the player with only a few stills of other girls (not even nudes). Some side-quests are too vague in their descriptions to be worth the effort (what's up with those batteries Eva was supposed to charge up?), and the biggest fault is that most of the action is still pixelated or blurred (70% of the lewd content told/implied is hidden, on either path).

I applaud the dev for not making this RPGM game yet another scene collector, but they also swung the pendulum too much in the other direction.

With all due respect, I don't understand why people fight over games here. Especially since a developer is a free person and can do whatever they want, even abandon the game or start another project, and we have no final word there, unless we pay him something like a special contract. I say this because even when this website is focused on porn games, here we have lots of kinds of games, there's some games with 0 CGs and you see their community and they don't even fight for that.

Instead, here I see Secret Dawn as a very nice story with great graphics, really great graphics, and then I see people complaining and trying to impose their tastes and pacing on a game that most of us don't even pay for. Even if we paid the developer, they could just quit and abandon the whole thing (sometimes they do just because they get pissed or annoyed by the community).

I say all this because I know that creating a good game requires a lot of time, effort, and resources (seriously, a lot of time, especially for a good rpgmv or mz game). Even a bad AI game requires some effort, and even in that case, we're nobody to force the developer to do anything.

I completely agree. I'm totally tired of seeing comments from people expressing frustration about not having enough sex scenes. I started playing this game three months ago from the MC's perspective, and the pacing is great. At some point, there will be more sex scenes when the corruption is greater, but that's not the point in the game yet. I think this game is on the right track, and when the sex scenes arrive, I'm sure all the complaints will stop.

MC's perspective is really good, it handles very well the mistery and the secrecy of the cheating/corruption. For me playing the game from scratch was really great.
I've seen other games where the plot is the main attractive and there's none CGs and people love them. There's also games that takes hours and hours to show a single CG and people still likes it. That's why I don't understand why there's people trying to force their tastes and preferences on any game, we just need to let the dev cook and if we don't like then we can move on and look for other games; maybe it's a matter of growing up.
Also I agree with you that I think the game will be amazing in the future, it's on the right track. I will continue waiting for it.

I think the pacing just feels bad to people because they're waiting for updates. Playing through from scratch feels pretty good and it's a decent slow-burn mystery/corruption game. I especially appreciate how the mc POV isn't just the same as the fmc POV with scenes hidden, but its own parallel storyline. It's one of the few games where I've actually gone back to play both POVs rather than just realizing that I'm missing half the content by playing the mc POV.

I think the vast majority of people around here just enjoy the game but don't have the motivation to argue with some of the deranged gooners that write 5 pages long essays explaining why, despite their best effort, they cannot get it hard playing this game.

This is a pretty good game, I like that you can play as both characters. Playing as Jon does trigger me past events in my life which I woulnd't define happy, but fuck, at least there's some emotional involvment.

Is it possible to see any NTR if you only play as Jon? I'm at the second run of missions on Gamma and so far no NTR, just hinted stuff like when Eve gets trapped in the room and holes or when Bridget is behind a gloryhole.

Is it only secret ntr where Jon never catches Eve in the act or can I see it happen in his path?

From Jon POV is what is called mistery NTR, so you won't be able to see nothing, just hints yes. What you can see is the other girls I think.
In Eva's POV practically all content goes around her .

Also as MC's perspective it is possible to see blurry images, videos, silhouettes and also hear sounds from these corruption events in real time and sometimes after it has happened. Besides there's some people that says that you can access better videos from the missions if you enter the hidden camera area. I have entered there but I haven't tested it so far.

I like the game idea, but i dont like the gameplay tooo grindy omfg even dark souls is easier coz you dont know where to go or what to do, even the z guide info is poor, so you need to ask for help to other players that will just ignore you so you are stuck
