While Levy already made the game and i can understand slow progress due to personal reasons, i´ve always felt that he´s just egging people on.
No work ethic at all, he could have finished this like a year ago,promise more stuff and THEN he could take another year to do a months worth of coding.
I hate the guy but i have to admit the game is decent, just imagine if it was more moddable than just extracting the .exe and modifying minor stuff in the data folder.

Guys its been 1 month since the last update and we already confirmed that hes not bullshitting people with tech talk. I rather have a game with regular development speed then see a crash and burn like Rack 2.

Chill, i dont hate the guy, i just feel like after so long, these constant personal issues sound more and more like excuses.
But that doesnt mean its true, maybe the guy really has it rough, either way im not actively trying to sh.t on him or something, im still harboring small hope that we get at least a "pre-alpha" to screw around with.
This is still probably the best interactive game since Rack, nothing else really ever caught my eye, so im just being slightly salty with all this waiting.
The reason I asked had nothing to do with the frequency of his updates or the validity of his claims of personal issues. I asked because his updates make it obvious that your claim that
doesn't make any sense. He hasn't been spending this time building a game. He's been spending this time building a game-engine. There is literally nothing to release until the core elements of the engine have reached a state that would allow an alpha of the game to run.

As Poneman said under you, its been only a month soo far. There are not only slower projects out there but soo far there wasnt anything here that smells fishy.
There wasnt fake techno blabla, there wasnt long talks about nothing, there wasnt meaningless updates that change nothing related to the game and there also wasnt endless hyping to make you stay.
I think I'm in a similar boat - I don't even like ponies, but this is a very good interactive game and nothing else really comes close. Yeah, it's taking a long time, but Levy is building a whole engine, dev toolkit, and game from the ground up while apparently having a rough time mental health-wise. I don't mind waiting.
