So I decided to give this another go and I'm at the part where Iris come to the room. Are those choices permanent, just an on off choice or can you still pursue someone after getting to know them better. You really know nothing substantial about any of them at this point, feels rushed to me, or at the very least way too soon for a cutoff like that.
The choices are mostly permanent. In this case, I think this is the only chance to pursue her.

That's unfortunate. I tried to accept but it was way too "Nice shoes, wanna fuck?" for me. I didn't think accepting another drink with her equated to let's just have sex. No Iris for me I guess. I hope they aren't all like that. I am enjoying getting to know Helena though. Out of everyone so far her and the MC's relationship feels the most natural.

I wanted to finish chapter 1 with a sex scene. Let's be honest, that is what most people are looking for in these games. I felt like people would complain too much if I didn't have one. But her relationship will develop better in the future as the game goes on, but that is fine.
I also didn't want to keep bothering the player with if they want to pursue a character or not. You want, good, you don't, good.

Oh, I know that's what most people are after. I'm not though, if I wanted to jump right in to the sex I would just watch porn. To each their own but if a relationship doesn't actually develop it's no fun for me. A big reason I tried again was because of the end of the description, about forming romantic relationships with them. I'm hoping it changes but so far there has been zero romance of any kind, just running odd jobs with casual conversations with the girls. Not bad really because I like that as well but there hasn't been any choice to even say "Hey I think you are pretty cool." or anything like that. Granted I think I'm still pretty early in, just started talking about Helena in the pool, but we'll see.
I get it.
This game is a slow burn. Relationships are developed at a slow pace. It takes some time for things to get to the point you are talking about. At the start, everyone is being careful with the new guy.

That's what I like and what was so off putting for the Iris scene for me personally. No buildup at all just straight to a homerun. I guess it would be nice to know if they all start with sex or can you actually spend time with someone on their path before that? Because to me that's far from romantic.
Depends on the character. Some are going to take some time to want to have sex. Others, might want to go straight to it.

Just give it time, Iris is one of the thirstiest, with all the "Big girls" it's something more casual that starts developing into something more, because you know, they already know how it feels and haven't had sex in a long time, the other girls are more slow burn and romantic. I don't want to spoil anything but Eloise and Hannha are my favorites.
You're right. The milfs in general already know what sex is like, so they have 'suffered more' without it. The younger virgin girls don't.

I will at some point. But yes, I have already noticed the pattern. It's the same setup with all of the mature characters so far. Except maybe Laura, but I'm not sure if I'm even on her path yet. I'll try those paths after the game is finished but I have no interest in those straight to sex arcs, no matter how good they get. Just personal preference.

I have been playing a little more and have a small suggestion, I guess? I'm just past the darts game and so far I think I have been asked 4(?) times overall if I want to invite someone tonight but the only option I have "No". I know it's because I'm not sleeping with anyone right now but it may be a good idea to add a check for that in some way. It's kind of annoying to have to keep clicking no.
Yes. That is only if you are on a sexual relationship with any of the available characters. But that is a good suggestion. I might check a way to skip the nightcalls if you have none available.
