I saw some people having a similar problem. Once they used another program to extract the zip they got it working. I think they used Unarchiver instead.

It seems like you applied a patch or mod incorrectly. You have a game folder inside your game folder: 'game/game'
You should probably delete this second 'game' folder, and reapply any patches/mods.

that the thing - almost all saves suddenly broken, not just few last ones
first few chapters still load fine (last working save is fucking Sarah on rooftop in the city, way back), then another chapter - you get load at wrong place, after that - hard error on all remaining chapters

hm, save works, but character defines reverted back to defaults - MC is "drowned man" again, some girls are just "woman №"
oh well, gonna redownload full game just in case, see if it any different than update-only, and then time for very long ctrl hold
it definitely not grammar, i've gone through all scripts while updating WT - there wasn't any changes (in update-only) between 0.10.4 and 0.10.8 aside from new chapter part, and even when there are fixes or music additions in older chapters - it still work just fine
in fact, comparing 0.10.0->0.10.4 and 0.10.4->0.10.8 update-only packs - i don't see anything what could be a problem, weird indeed
