I'm stuck at 35%. It won't go any further, and the directions aren't helpful. I think it's bugged again. This makes the game unplayable.

It’s a shame. Such wasted potential. Wish the dev would seek help. It could be a great game.

How do you get to the end of sage 1? I can't get the girls to go to the park.

idk anything about a park but i had to go to the bathroom and not look 5 times, and then knock and not look 3 times, after that just go to her room at night when she is awake 2 times to watch movies and then go to the bathroom when she is in the tub in the evening. After all that just sleep and wait for breakfast.

If you are "stuck in stage 1" why do you want to find find the "girls to go to the park"?
That event is NOT in stage 1!
You do not meet "the girls" until you transition from stage 1 to stage 2.

I guess I'll wait another 6 months, or more. He has a great concept but just doesn't understand the code yet. He said he has a friend who knows so hopefully that friend will come in and just make it a VN instead of sandbox because sandbox just isn't happening.

As stated by others, i'm getting the following crash when using the whatchat app on the computer:

File "SecretsoftheFamily-VER.0.2.8.6-pc\renpy\script.py", line 927, in lookup
raise ScriptError("could not find label '%s'." % str(original))
ScriptError: could not find label 'whatschat1'.

Several other events are looping/unresolved and am thinking this may be the issue (hopefully fixable)

I hit this, too. What resolved the tellmari error for me was getting on the laptop in Rayne's room during the Night period, and using the web browser. Watch Mari, talk to whoever over the next day or two, and you should be able to talk to mari at the convenience store soon. Tell the truth or not about the incident, and then the park visit should open up.

so anyone actually been able to buy clothes with the credit card? I've found it roughly 200 times but never been able to do anything with it.

Unfortunately the game's just as buggy and susceptible to sequence-breaking as ever, it seems.

It appears to be soft-locked in v0.2.8.6.
It should be fixed in the next version.
In the meantime there is my "UNOFFICAL" fix here:-

As for permission to use card, carefully read dialogue at end of "Sleeping" (with mom)

Drop the "CHAR_Val.rpy" file into the "SecretsoftheFamily-VER.0.2.8.6-pc\game\characters" folder,
and
Drop the "clothingactions.rpy" file into the "SecretsoftheFamily-VER.0.2.8.6-pc\game\StageTwo\Actions" folder,

Thanks. I tried it and saw the first scene with Mari. But now the game keeps telling meI have to wait for Lynn and go to the arcade. When i go to the arcade it tells me I have to wait for the other girls. So frustrating this game.



Edit: Oh geez, I'm an idiot. I didn't read the sentence through. I tried the park again on Saturday and there they were!

Ahchi i attach the both fixes in the folder but i still can't get any scenes any idea?

For Mari visit the clothe shop when she is there in the evening,
(had to do this a few times before the event triggered)
shirt for Lynn, visit the close shop in the afternoon (Lynn will not be there)
Triggered this after clothe shop with Mari.

Hi all, Restarted "Stage Two" in v0.2.8.6-pc.
Had two issues (that I know off)
The first one could not get "valflirt2" (needed that to shower with mom later)
And could not buy clothes.
Attached below is a folder containing my fixes and info so you know where to drop the files.
