She was already living on her own; she was 21 or so at that time. And, strictly speaking it's just a bottle with some liquid inside, so not something really suspicious if you don't have it in hand with the description right in front of your eyes.
Would have been worse if it was directly what it's supposed to clean, something that, by chance, wasn't in plain sight.
Yeah, I edited my post after rereading.

Know that it would have been as embarrassing for the person who find it. Few years ago I was at my daughter home and, passing in front on her bedroom I saw her cat knocking off something. Being a nice dad, I picked it up and... well, my daughter own a bottle of sex toy cleaning lotion...
I have occasionally run into sex toys, but thankfully not family members! if anyone found my stuff, nobody has said anything yet!

Omg, imagine if she walked in... Talking about being awkward, but her mistake is to put a bottle on the night stand.:HideThePain: It's one thing when you live alone, but I'm assuming you live together, so she's ain't that young to not know this. Nvm, I reread that she lives alone, but still... Always keep your intimacy in private and locked because you never know who might see it!
I'm sure it would be one of those moments where it takes like a minute for either person to actually move. That looooooong uncomfortable silence! :ROFLMAO:

It would have to end with a "lemme show you how this works!" for that true continuation of uncomfortableness. :devilish:

And it was in the early 90's, so before sex toys actually became something acceptable (at least here).
There's a weird dichotomy with sex toys in my experience. You find a girls dildo or vibrator, it's embarrassing but you move past it. But finding a fleshlight in a guy's room is, for some reason, seen as much weirder, and sometimes even a little pathetic. (At least in my neck of the woods). Wondering if it's like that in other places too?

Guys needing help getting off is weird. It's not complicated. Apply friction then get out of the way. Women on the other hand were gifted with a complex system along with multiple targets. It's a logistics thing as well as a functional thing.

Maybe my experience is an outlier, but I never really founding getting women off all that complex. (Or, I've been lucky and only been with girls who cum easy. I've not been with all that many.)

I didn't say it was hard, I said it was more complex. Thus leading to society finding it more acceptable for female sex toys as compared to toys for men.

Edit: Seriously though, how many jokes are there in movies about women cutting holes in melons to get off? None I can think of. Tons for men. A few jokes about dudes fucking pies as well. It's simple for dudes to find ways to bust.

That's what the women WANT us to think! It's all a conspiracy so they can hog all the tiny motors for vibrators so the homies can't get the vibrating fleshlights they deserve! Justice for fleshlights!

It's the same here, except that it goes further.

France is a relatively open minded country. Early 90's, a french company selling sex toys and lingerie opened its first supermarket; and I really mean "supermarket", like any other one in the world, except that it's solely for sex toys and co, as well as sexy lingerie. Since them, dozen of stores like this have opened in the country, almost entirely killing the sex shop industry.
But while those stores are perfectly clean and respectable (imagine a cosmetic store, but for sex related items), they are all fully dedicated to women. You'll find near to nothing for men there, men have to goes to the few sex shops that still exist or buy online. And even if there were items for men, entering one as a man would be the same than entering a lingerie store; you're expected to come here to buy something for your wife/girlfriend, and leave as soon as possible.

Women sexuality have opened, (globally) everyone now see being kinky, and/or wanting to pleasure yourself while being alone, as something totally normal and natural for them. If a woman would be seen entering one by a friend, she'll talk about it with you, but not to accuse you, it would be more to exchange advice, talk about what they bought, and all, like if it was any other kind of store.
But like for lingerie stores, you'll almost only see women here. A man entering such store alone is expected to be here to buy a gift for his wife/girlfriend. Said wife/girlfriend that would more surely goes their with a girl friend, than with her husband/boyfriend. More globally, men who would openly act with the same open mind regarding his own sexuality would still be seen as pure perverts.

I don't really know the reason(s) behind this. Perhaps just a question of revenge after centuries of patriarchy. Women are now free to have a sexuality on their own, and any man that would invade this world would be seen as trying again to impose his desire over them.

Well, once again I live in a country that is more open minded, so I've seen movies with innuendo, some even with jokes, about how unsafe it can be to eat some vegetable when you're in a house where an alone woman live.
But here again the difference pointed by Insomnimaniac stay. It's virgin loser guys who cut holes in melons, while it's strong independent women who find other use for their cucumbers.

For me is more about the point of view of the another sex in the use of sexual toys, generally for men is arousing seeing/thinking about a woman pleasing herself that is attractive physically, while in the other side a woman seeing/thinking about a men thrusting a toy against his dick, that have a weird looking design either they look like some cut of flesh or some sterile looking device in a very mechanical process is not a pleasing sight for most of the women, and later they gonna reach one of two conclusions either the guy is not capable of having a woman partner to have sex (being lack of social skills, not being appealing, etc) or he is some sort of monkey that can't control his urges until he can meet a woman partner to engage in sexual acts, making the whole situation a turn off for the women in general without taking in account possible exceptions.

Corruption is a means of using outside forces to change someone.

Seduction is a means of using purely your own charm and charisma to change someone.

If I give a girl some cocaine and she likes it and becomes addicted to the point she starts selling her body to get more, she has been corrupted.

If I pull up to a girl at a bar and tell her jokes and gain her interest to the point she wants to go out on a date with me, she has been seduced.
