In the world of this game corruption is a tangible thing. It isn't some abstract notion, it actually exists. Essentially you can't drink the poison with out getting poisoned regardless of how good your intentions were. How do the mechanics of decisions work exactly?
For example, at certain points Rowan can give in to Jezera's advances but when making that decision, how much control do we have over Rowan's train of thought?
Can you play it so that you give in to make Jezera think she is weakening your resistance, or is giving in to her automaticly corrupting Rowan and we have no control over that?
What you are trying to do is similar to an undercover officer taking drugs to maintain his cover among criminals. If he takes the drugs the drugs will have an effect on him. But if he is careful and vigilant he may be able to avoid becoming addicted to the drugs, but if he lets gets caught up in it he will become addicted. Just as the addicted officer could still bust the criminals in the end but will himself be a criminal when he keeps taking illegal drugs, a corrupted Rowan can still overthrow the twins but he will be an agent of chaos himself.
Generally the way the game is written, when you have low corruption and you have Rowan commit a corrupting act he sees himself as making a sacrifice for the greater good or doing what he must. However, as the corruption builds he starts wanting to do the acts and sees himself as justified.
So yes you can "fake" giving in to ingratiate yourself with the twins, but if you give in too much you'll soon find you aren't really faking it any more.
