So I played through the latest revision and because I got a new phone I lost all my data before. I seem to remember a Rowan x andras scene in the jail, but the latest game of seeds of chaos didn't show the scene. I got all the way to the end and nothing. Does anyone know what the requirements are to get that or did it get removed?

The only one I found needs at least week 30 and at least 2 villages conquered.
Use the command: "call andras_humiliated_rowan" if you want to force it to happen

lol guys if you spent half a million on this game it would already be done...
Devs have, I believe, already hinted they to pay more than $100 apiece for art, because they have to pay extra for good artists that meet deadlines and stick around. I dunno how many scenes or CGs are planned for the first part. There's still the end of Rastedel to go, plus presumably the Goblin quest line and maybe some other stuff, and all of that will presumably add more Rowan-featured sex scenes. Keep in mind scenes quite often involve multiple CGs. Then there's the non-sex-scene art. The various art during talk and the leveling screen. The art for non-sex-scene specific scenes, like Rowan arriving at Rastedel, or choosing what he's fighting for after the big battle.

Like, I dunno how much they're paying per piece, how many pieces there will be in the entire part one. But simple math says it's definitely in the many thousands of dollars range. They've already assured you that paying that much would get you in the credits, which supposedly was your only worry. So feel free to start putting forth those thousands of dollars.

All kidding aside. Any support you're willing to give the team is appreciated and would be put to good use. Everything else aside, it is appreciated and encouraged.

We probably never will be able to handle the kind of content multiplication something as advanced as gender variance would require. In truth, even if someone showed up one day with a million to burn, we probably never would add in permanent gender variance. The rationale is pretty simple. You can plan for gender variance ahead of time, like a lot of games do.

The way you normally would go about that is design dialogue, sex events, and choices so that they are much less focused on player genitals. Often times it also involves making the protagonist a bit more of a blank slate to compensate. There are a whole lot of design choices you make in order to cut out content duplication.

The end result of that is that it's *very difficult* to add permanent gender transformation/variance into a game that already has it's core design implemented. The process of redesigning on the fly to accommodate such a thing couldn't really be done on a reasonable time frame.

For the record, this is the core issue with a lot of transformation focused content, like the prospect of permanent FutAlexia. Real talk, there are people on the team who'd love to make that a full on option. *Cough Rein Cough*. The problem is that if that was true, not only would we need to introduce a new game-state for it, and go back and rewrite whole scenes to account for that variable. But, we'd have to go back and pay for variants on every single art piece it's possible for the player to get at that point that would allow for Futa. We could try to limit options in such a case and block off certain scene types where we can. But, in most cases that just means making even more extra content.

I got hit by it too. I got a body mod kink. I'd love to be getting Alexia tattoos and piercings by now.

Can't do it. Not feasible. Ain't no one sadder about that then me.

There is two "Transformation" type event, or at least two events that might lead to permanent body modification that we've been considering. However, the implementation plan for them is super complex, deliberate, and requires threading a lot of bullshit together.

In short, permanent bodily transformation will almost never show up in Seeds of Chaos for recurring characters outside of very rare cases or cases where we delibretly designed it to happen ahead of time.

As much as I would love to see Alexia transform into a sexy futa succubus permanently, I can see that it would take a lot of work and money to get it that far. I mean so much that it likely isn't feasible. Still I agree with T51bwinterized in that this team deserves all the support they get and should get even more. With all the flak the game gets for all the ntr stuff, it has so many other options available for players. Character interactions in the game are well thought out and evolve based on player choice. I play Rowan as a dominant overlord who corrupts Alexia but on his own terms, never sharing her (except with X'Zaratl because she's hot and will hopefully want Rowan in her pussy because it's been a long time coming). The sorceress Cliohna tries to make Rowan submit (which through the player choice, he can go along with or fight against) but resisting and showing her strength of will is making her slowly respect Rowan. Even Jezera is beginning to get more hands on with Rowan. All the variables in this game make my head spin, which just goes to show that the team knows what they are doing. With this next update finishing up Rastadel, I can't wait for the updates after that in which the castle npcs get their due. There are future narratives looming such as the fae npcs and deciding who Rowan will favor. Or the drow cities which no doubt will come into play eventually since what kind of evil army doesn't have drow?

that's just it..with so much to do..and so many choices its hard not to want to change the male PC..into a female permanently..maybe jezera will cast a spell to change him into her prefect slave girl..to serve her and her new lover alexia ..maybe it will be a reward for alexia to decide his fate at the end...see no need for redoing the whole game.

Hello seedlings,
Happy new year to you all, I hope you enjoyed the holiday season. I had a nice break, but now it is back to work, as Rastedel is on the horizon. December was a very good month for us, the best in a long time, but as you know I’m not one to rest on my laurels, so we’ll keep pushing on. Ten thousand is finally in our sights, and hopefully this release will be the one to push us over.
The January Release
Speaking of this release, I will start with it, as this post is likely to end up quite long, and I know this is what most of you care about. :) It is shaping up rather nicely now, I have a lot to code, and more to come, as everybody else works hard on their part. It will be even bigger than our last release, with more words, more CGs, and more sex scenes, making it our largest update ever.
I already have quite a bit of writing from Winter and Hooky, who are continuing to work on Rastedel to make sure it gets finished. Hooky is also doing a bit of Greyhide content as well, which may also find its way into the update if time permits. Rein is also working on getting his part of the Rastedel arc done, and DM has done a few more map events like he did for the last release.
On the art side, we already have all the work from last month, and both Sommy and MDN are already working on their CGs for this month. As usual we’ve got another 8 CGs from MDN coming (on top of the 8 from last month), and these will have limited variants this time because Sommy is very busy working on his own CGs (we’ll go back and add them later though, so don’t worry). I’m really excited about what Sommy is doing this month, I don’t want to spoil it, but it is epic in every sense of the word, and I’m sure it will turn out to be my favourite thing in the game. As always I will start sharing the roughs with the backers as soon as I get them from MDN, I won’t be posting Sommy’s work though, as not to spoil the story.
So, release date? You guys know how I feel about releasing on time, I’d like to give myself as much time as possible to get everything in, so the date for the next version will be the last possible day, which is the 31st (a Friday).
2019 Retrospective
Moving on, I think I can happily say that 2019 was a good year for the game. We made a lot of progress, adding hundreds of thousands of words, around 100 CGs, and a ton of new sex scenes. The funding also increased, and between that, the social accounts, and , we have a lot more eyes on the game than ever before. The thing I’m most proud of - all our releases last year were on time, and we had a pretty solid run on the monthly schedule, before switching back to bi-monthly. We also did our yearly poll, which showed the vast majority of people (both backers and non-backers) were very happy with how the game is shaping up, which is always great to hear.
It has been a bit of a mixed year for me myself. I’ve had quite a hard time personally, but I’ve never allowed it to affect the game. The main result was that I had to spend all the free time I did have coding, when I would have liked to write more, especially with how well my “Powerless” event was received. It hasn’t impacted the game negatively, as Winter and co are doing a great job on the writing side, but one of my goals this year is to try and write a bit more. I’ve got a few ideas about scenes (including the “Powerless” followup people keep asking for), so hopefully you’ll be seeing and enjoying those in the near future.
Speaking of the future, our roadmap for the year is pretty simple - keep working on finishing act one. After we tie Rastedel up, we will be implementing the long-awaited mechanics update. Most of the core coding has been done now, it just needs events to be updated, and vigorous testing. All of the writers will be working on creating narrative arcs for each non-central castle NPCs, so you’ll be seeing events chains for Cla-Min, Greyhide, and co similar to what Rein has done for Cliohna. Finally, we’ll also be adding another race recruitment chain similar to the Orciad, this time for the goblins. Later in the year, we will also begin pre-production for the second act.
So, overall as I said at the beginning, a good year for the game. I have always thought we have something special here, and I think the hard work we’ve been putting in over the years is starting to pay off. The game is getting better all the time, and it is also starting to become a bit more successful as well, which always helps. Hopefully, 2020 will be an even better one.
Steam
Finally, a bit of surprise news - After a bit of wrangling with Valve to ensure it met their terms and conditions, Seeds of Chaos has been approved for sale as an early access title on Steam. I’ll talk more about this later in the month when the store page goes live (so you can all wishlist it, wink wink nudge nudge), but for now here is the important stuff:
  • It will cover act one, with later acts being released as sequels.
  • It will cost $19.99.
  • It will always be behind the Patreon version, with updates having larger time gaps than the Patreon.
  • Valve had no problem with any of the game content, so nothing has been removed or censored.
That’s all for today, this was a very long post and I really need to get back to coding, but I’d just like to say thank you to everyone, those who back the game, and those who support in other ways. We really could not do it without you. Here's to many more years of Seeds of Chaos. :)

Since the later arcs will be released as separate games on steam, does that mean that we won't be able to import our saves?

Carrying over variables from one RenPy game/separate act to another is possible and has been done before, though I can't remember the games in question. So hopefully something like that'll be the case here. Hard to imagine given all the different character states and stats that a new act would be just a full blank slate.
