Bro! There was no sad attempt, I appreciate you getting a version out for everyone when I had to take a break due to RL. But yeah, the mod rolls into the next version (e.g., the 0.4.07 mod I put out is what's in 0.4.08, and this updated mod today will be in 0.4.09, and so on).

Just a heads up before the new v0.4.09 release, unfortunately I just don't have time to do the scene replay mod anymore. Foreeever You're welcome to pick it up if you want to. If not, then anyone else is welcome to pick up the work and carry it on (you don't need my permission to use/modify the code I've wrote, or if you did want permission then you have it). Happy to help on a private message if anyone needs help with the mod code to get their head around it.

I've been doing it for 2.5 years; time to bow out.

It doesn't just show the artwork, but plays the whole scene. That's why it's called the "Scene Replay Mod."

You can also filter the scenes by character or tags. You can unlock scenes you haven't played yet as well.

It is very useful for checking out all the new scenes without having to play through the whole game every update.

Honestly why the actual developers haven't done this by now is beyond me... they could steal the gallery mod too and just update it

Maybe they just don't want it, at least until the game “final“ version, since that would make it harder to spot bugs and issues with each new build because most players would avoid the main game and go straight to the replay mode.

If we somehow end up getting the final event to Jezara, X'Z and Hel arcs in the coming two updates, please just throw the gobbo plot under the bus and move forward. We can't keep waiting for that cursed mess to be completed, wrap it up by them killing each other except for the one you have chosen or something and proceed.

Wild that the concept of these scenes are already implemented, and we have no idea when they will be realized. Could easily take another year or two, Goblin arc is stalling and slow.

I think Rein is doing both Astarte AND the Goblins together with the new writers. So unless the new writers can pick up the pace and integrate with the team (and that always takes time even in a professional setting), this will take forever. But yeah, if you look through the scripts, there is a lot of content you can glimpse behind the #. Obviously what I spoiled could end up never happening since it has not been implemented and they could change their minds entirely. There are plenty of TODO notations in the event scripts. I've seen them in the Rastedel script as well waiting for goblin additions. But it is clear they are working on AStarte and a lot is planned ahead because the event is littered with notations.

It is holding the game back and I think it is clear that they have planned it to be too big. Specially when it was supposed to be an allternative to the orcs path which is like 1/4 shorter than the gobbos. They definitely need to trim it down. Not only for it to be a fair alternative to the orcs but also to be able to get it done and move on to the next thing.

It's much too late to trim it down. Most of the goblin arc is already finished. Large part of the arc was actually done quite swiftly. I feel like the progress slowed down significantly a year ago and has not picked up since then.
