How to install the android version ? There is a apk and rpa at the same time
Download the zip file then extract it. Install the apk and then start it. You will have to then go to android-data-soc-files-create a new folder "game". Cut the patch and rpa files into there. Enjoy

Scene Replay Mod

How to use

Download one of the following depending on which version of the game you are using:

0.4.08: soc0408-mod-full.zip
0.4.07: soc0407-mod-full.zip

Both are attached to this post.
  • Unzip to the "game" folder.
  • Launch the game and go to "Bonus" -> "Scene Replay"
  • Use the "Unlock" button in the bottom left corner to unlock all the scenes.
  • Scenes will naturally unlock as you play the game anyway.
  • To apply filters, press "Scene Filters" in the bottom left corner.
If you find any bugs, please let me know.

A way to check wether the plug in is being used is to, play the game and when the black screen shows up (just before it crashes) shift to the multi app view ( the button right next to the home button).
The view shows which specific plugin version Joiplay is using to run the game.
Found the fix on joiplay, make sure to delete all plugins on joiplay itself and then install the latest plugin found on patreon.

You'd have a point if Lord Arioch was making this game by himself but he's not. I'm not sure how many team members they have currently, but I'm pretty sure it's at least 4, but if I remember right it has been as high as 7.

But we will say the low end just to steelman your argument. Divide that 10,000 by 4 members and you're at 2,500 per month. Not exactly rolling in it.

Don't forget to subtract the cost of the art commissions, I wouldn't be surprised if after the commission costs the split is less than 2,000 per month. I remember when I was making that much things were tight, and inflation has gone up about 25% since I had to live on that.

Hold on, the artist works on commissions and isn't a member of the development team? From what I've seen of artist commission prices the amount of artwork needed per update would be absolutely unsustainable based on the amount SoC pulls in.

That wouldn't be so bad (depending on where you live)... but then there Patreon take (5%) + taxes and fees.

Its possible that I'm mistaken about the commission. Or that the nature of their agreement has changed from the last time I heard about it. I'm going entirely off of memory, but I thought they were getting a lower commission rate for bulk commissions and providing steady work. But I could be mixing up that detail with another team. If anyone has any more concrete info on the team's make up I'll defer to them.

If the artists are getting a cut instead of commissions then that bring the minimum team size up to 6 or 1,667 per month.

But the point is that that 10,000 a month is not as much money as it seems, once you have to divide it with a group.

Okay.
Arioch own the game and run the project.
He gets all the money and then pays the freelancers.
Everyone else is just hired hands.
Their are 5-6 people who do writing.
one guy who do coding
And two guys who do painting (one do line work and another do line work and finished art).
Freelance writers are paid by the number of words they do and yes writers usually get meager income.
The only guy who gets a fair share is probably the main artist Sommi, who does all the finished art work.
I would guess it's around $200 each art work or so.
===========
+ you completely forget the income from steam
It has sold 26k copies on steam with a pricing of 20$
and the lowest discount was 30%
So even if everyone bought the game with discount arioch still made
400k-350k usd on steam alone.
===========
So...
1) It is not the lack of money that is holding back progress, but Arioch's inability to organize the workload and plan it properly.
2) Judging by Arioch behavior, he doesn't really care about speeding it up.
3) But why would he, if he has a good, stable income.
It's just the way it is, why kill a cash cow?
