This isn't a significant issue because I have no money but T51bwinterized is there an alternative to Steam where I can eventually buy Seeds of Chaos? It's not a deal-breaker but I'm not entirely convinced on the attractiveness of purchasing a porn game on my Steam account.
Do you share your steam account with someone else? If not i would say you won't find a better plataform to buying games, the only thing missing is Steam accepting payment when i throw money at the screen.
Seriously, Gog also is very good with payment options but i don't think they accept porn games.

Define share? I'm the only one who uses my account but I have Steam Friends who I know outside of Steam. And I don't know if I want them to know my porn habits.

If you don't want your friends on Steam to know you play porn games simply go to your privacy settings and put your game details to private.
Or you could make another steam account since you only need another email.

You’ll get the current version by subscribing to their Patreon for at least a month. You can cancel your sub after that if you want.

I don’t know if it’s still the case, but I think there was another venue at one point. Itch.io, maybe? Don’t remember offhand.

You can get the latest builds over at Patreon for five dollars. However, this is not a fixed/always get an upgrade like it is with steam. I am unsure at this time if we plan to sell the game as a one and done anywhere besides Steam. Maybe Fakku or something.

Important question:

We are considering (this is not a promise) a review of the current quest/log guidance for the upcoming release. Both to bring it in line with Rastedel and to see if issues players have with it can be resolved.

To that end, is there issues anyone has with the present questlog more complex then "Where is Rastedel"?

And the best thing about Seeds of Chaos...

It's all digital. None of that Postage and packaging bullshit!

Which means you don't have to sacrifice several goats to the Postage gods to ensure that the Posties aren't pocketing your shit! The amount of packages I've bought online and lost... and those weapon ahem Spoon shipments that they won't let me send off...

None of that shit here, Nosiree! The handy SOC delivery Goblins send the porn right to you the moment you click the button! Buy it today. You won't regret it! :p

Thank you both for the responses, I'll probably just buy it on Steam when I have the money :)

A good few years.
All we've gotten so far is only the first chapter (not the full chapter yet I think) and I believe there's two more to come after.
So, after four years, of the three chapters supposedly planned none of them is yet complete...
Dammm, look likes this game will take as much time as Dwarf Fortress (14 years in development and 15 more on the sight) to be finished. It's sad, cause honestly, I would love to buy this game, but the pace of the updates worries me, it put me doubts on how the development is going, I fell not knowing if the game will be ever completed and it scares me off, cause I already had a really bad day buying early versions games before, and it's not going to happen again.

At this point it looks like the game is going episodic. Part one is available for sale on Steam now and is pretty close to finished. I'm assuming the plan is to sell parts two and three individually as they are finished as well. Even if they don't, the Steam version is a one and done purchase. You could buy that and get the updates in time without being subscribed to them, no matter how long it takes.

You shouldn't be surprised about the four years part either. That's pretty average development time for a full fledged game, which Seeds here definitely is. Any game with less time is either really simple, a yearly iterative release with only minor improvements, or has been rushed out the door drastically to be fixed after release.

I remember the very early days for this game where the creator was losing money hand-over-fist. Those early art assets -- as beautiful as they were -- for example, were very expensive, and were generally paid out of pocket. Despite assurances, I couldn't shake the feeling that the game often tittered on the brink in those days. (The story and the art and the discussion about the Nemsis were great draws for me in an earlier pitch.) The evolution of this passion project from a single person in their singular vision for this game to tell a certain, sweeping (and refreshingly original) story to expand now to having honest-to-goodness dedicated teams of writers and artists and coders, *and* to also expand into and acquiring other projects is a goddamn, downright testiment of the dedication of the folks behind this game. It truly is a success story. There's also a reason why they've garnered such a supportive fanbase. They deliver; and, they often have frank discussions with their supporters and other fans. Regardless of whether patrons agree with their choices or not, one cannot deny that they are very communicative and that there's always a sense that actual work and progress is being done behind the veil. Unlike other projects, I've never thought this project was ever milking its supporters. I, for one, have no doubts that the game will reach some sort of completeness and that it won't just evanesce away disappearing into the night. Despite the long development time that's planned, I hope this post from a fellow fan will assuage some of the fears that you have and that you won't be "scared off" from the game. Cheers, my bro and fellow fans, and pura vida.

Well, you also gotta take into account production speed. We've nearly doubled the writing and art since 2018, and multiplied the pace by 10 since 2016.

Unlike a lot of games that are especially reliant on a single content path or might burn out from being dragged out, SoC naturally has a large scale and was designed with multiple hooks. For that reason, barring a catastrophic misstep or global financial crisis, I don't see major scale backs in production schedule likely.

Arioch has said that the team is beginning to think of arcs for the castle npcs. Now this'll be fun. Over the coming months Rowan's realtionship with the castle npcs will evolve. And I will just eat up all of it! Time for Rowan to further seduce X'Zaratl and begin an intense relationship with Cliohna maybe? This is pretty exciting. Rein, Winter, and Sommy having been doing some great work so far and Arioch must be proud to have a dedicated and talented team.

Right now, the team doing the Castle NPC Narrative Arcwork is Rein, DM, Hooky and myself. The 4 of us are doing the bulk of it.

We have limited involvement from Arioch (Making the big choices/Settling thorny issues) and Sommy (anything pertaining to art/Whenever Sommy wants a laugh at our dumb writer squabbling).
