He's supposed to allegedly be some kind of fucking mighty hero commander or some shit right? Hence why he was kidnapped in the first place, so what's stopping him from at least TRYING to think of a plan out instead of sitting there with his thumb up his ass with TV static in the area where his brain is supposed to be

Part of the mighty came from a blessing from a Goodness anyways but to tell you the truth, what is really stopping him are the writers of the game, since there are 2 more acts planned, the story is build in a way that doesn't allow you to get an early "Good Ending".

And more than that, the entire game is built with the intention to drag the MC into the Dark Side by constantly tempting him to do so and even by offering exclusive "rewards" if you should to go that way.

They want you to be the bad guy basically.

(But they will never catch me with that trick, I played to many Metroidvanias, if a game wants me to go to the right, I always go to the left anyway).

I mean you don't have to. It is extremely easy to keep Alexia to yourself. Or you can have her be a slut but still YOUR slut even with NTR on. This is only an NTR game if you want it to be or if you are so fragile the presence of a dick other than your character's immediately means cucking to you.

If Rowan was smart this game would have been like 2 minutes long. Because let's face it, solo infiltration into a castle with demons who wield unknown magic power was a suicide mission. He would have gone to the capital and gotten some non hostile nobles to support him and they'd have been ready for the twin's bumbling attack on the capital. Sure he would have to give up on Alexia's survival but her being alive at that point was unlikely anyways.

He was buttfucked by 2 demons before trying to Splinter Cell into their base! But, to be fair: A) iirc, they threatened to kill Alexia if he leads anyone else to them; B) despite that, he did try to ask Duke Werden for help, when he met him on his way to Bloodmeen.

He should have realized that that is what they want, and do the logical thing and realize she's a lost cause, instead of them both possibly getting killed, and he only asked like one guy instead of immediately bum rushing into the capital or whatever to alert the authorities.
