How do you get land? Through war, specifically by allying with like-minded races. The twins are the rising power, just as Tue-Row is about to be crowned. You think he would stay out of it if the twins ask for an alliance?

Of course all the orcs have heard of the twins, hence they comment on it when Rowan approaches them.

The twins wouldn't suicide into Rastedel. They would have their troops in spies in order before they attack. Which they just did.

You hyperfocus on Rowan because he happens to be the point-of-view MC who is positioned narratively to be at the center of each conflict. But this doesn't conclude that without him, these conflicts wouldn't be solved. They would, just at a slower pace and with someone less ideal.

Oriandu: Total agreement that Rowan is useful and often competent. Doesn't mean the twins couldn't be sufficiently successfull, they have extremely powerful and vast tools, allies and are also able to learn and improve. So I don't get your second paragraph, the twins have builded infrastructure and a very well working base entirely without Rowan.

Obviously, with Rowan present, we can rush through the conquest a bit faster and have the narrative reason that he solves they problem, else we wouldn't have a game. The twins can't be perfect, else Rowan would be superfluous, but this musn't lead into the wrong conclusion that they couldn't succeed without him.
I feel we are going to go in circles with this argument, but lets go.
Your point seems to start from believing the twins are competent enough and organized enough to reach their objectives and that all orcs and goblins would naturally run to join them.
Both are proven false pretty early on, but taking a point at the time and starting with the recruits.

The twins only have 2 things setting them apart from others, they are the children of the previous demon lord and, as of the this games timeline, are not actively trying to kill each other yet.
Most of their followers by the time Rowan joins in are found in one of the following groups.

Only following them because the twins are their father's children, the dark dwarf being the biggest example.

Only following them because they get something out of it,the mage woman, greyhide, clan-min. They are not following the twins because they have useful things

Where already serving them, the case of the spy mistress.

At no point we have people just arriving to serve them because they are the rising power, they have 1 strong hold by the time Rowan joins after months of captivity, their daddy's place, which is in complete ruin bar a few rooms. And most of their armies are orcs.

Besides a single event were veterans arrive wishing to join, and most are massacred by Andras cause he is an idiot. The twins need to go out of their way to send people to convince orc tribes to join in.
The orciad is the largest orc tribe and they don't join the twins without considerable effort to solve the power dispute.
I don't disagree that part of it could be recruited without Rowan, but it would be a very diminished number since the twins don't have the patience to do what Rowan did , and very few people would be the equal levels of skilled and reckless to do what Rowan did.

The goblins would very likely keep to themselves if Rowan was not a part of the deal, if you take into consideration how the twins only have a single goblin family under their employ we can garner that their normal offer is not of much interest to most goblins after clan-min got the monopoly on portal trade.

The twins would very likely either suicide on Rastadel, either by getting caught in a war of attrition without Rowan to blunt Andras reckless ideas and Jezeras whims, at the end of the day, without the specific that is Rowan, one of the few people the Twins have enough of an interest in to listen and consider to. In my personal opinion due to him being the guile hero that was doing logistics and sabotage while the others where the more direct, apply weapon/magic to enemy face.

Without Rowan to be a careful thinker the twins most likely would not have a advisor type that they listen to, so they would be a small annoyance at most as the leaders of strange raids of orcs appearing for seeming thin air but only able to capture a couple villages at the time at best, or destroyed after biting something they could not chew at worst.

I will admit Rowan is no chosen one, but he is a very specific type that is both impossible to substitute, as his particular set of experience and skill is very specific, and needed for the twins to be more than a local danger.

A great example is the starting fortress Rowan needs to conquer, at that point you are right that the twins would be able to take it either way, but the diference Rowan makes is the one between the twins getting it with a ragtad band of orcs while stepping on each others toes, Jezera wants to infiltrate and Andras conquer, or a carefull plan taking it without news of it getting to Rastodel too quick

Sorry for continuing the discussion; it's incredible how the narrative of a porn game generates this type of debate. XD
For as much as the plot progresses at the speed of molasses , what is there is very interesting to debate about even if it ends being 2 people shouting at each other from the respective hills.

.. Partly because there is a tendency to ignore people butting into the discussion.. ;-)

I want to point out that Rowan can fail the Orciad, but they still end up working with Bloodmer (just in a sub-optimal capacity). This and a couple of the random Orc camps show that Andras can actually force the Orcs to his side, but his brute force methods usually weaken the number of recruits.

The twins only have 2 things setting them apart from others, they are the children of the previous demon lord and, as of the this games timeline, are not actively trying to kill each other yet.

They need a castle steward who looks after their HQ and improves on it, true. But Rowan is not the only one they could task with it. The give him the job because he joins, but they would probably get either a chaos minion or some dissatisfied (and seduced) bureaucrat to do that as well. According to the recruitment pitch (as I recall it) Rowan is a great all-rounder but, aside from maybe guile, not the best in anything he does. Every job he does could be given to someone else, but he is the best to have all the jobs, if that makes sense?

Besides a single event were veterans arrive wishing to join, and most are massacred by Andras cause he is an idiot. The twins need to go out of their way to send people to convince orc tribes to join in.
The orciad is the largest orc tribe and they don't join the twins without considerable effort to solve the power dispute.

I mentioned the Orciad before, so let me play devils advocate for the veteran event. If I recall correctly (and it has been ages, tbh), Andras kills them because he sees them as deserters or cowards. If you go from a might makes right position, adding people who ran away once can hamper morale and make you appear forgiving. Decimating them shows your martial prowess and shows that you do not tolerate disobedience.
I do not really agree with that, but the thing is that Adnras is a brute but NOT an idiot.Do not underestimate him just because he prefers direct approaches and has a violent temper. I actually think that he is the smarter of the twins, if I am being honest.

The goblins would very likely keep to themselves if Rowan was not a part of the deal, if you take into consideration how the twins only have a single goblin family under their employ we can garner that their normal offer is not of much interest to most goblins after clan-min got the monopoly on portal trade.
Technically, Cla-Min does not work for the Twins, but is an independent merchant. The Twins do not value goblins, so without Rowan I assume they either force them into aiding or ally (for later betrayel) with one who is more willing to join. Or a mixture of both. Again, they *will* get the goblins, in my opinion, but in a weaker state and much less loyal.

They actually attempt to attack the capital and get their asses kicked. But they survive because they can easily retreat. And again, when you mess up your assignments the city will still fall - just with even more devastation. Jezeeras "friend" wants to recruit Patricia anyways and it does not take much to corrupt her, so another agent can also do that. What Rowan does in Rastedeel is not bring the City to its knees but to attempt to take it over *without* having to sack it. Last time I played there was no way to not fail it and the twins sack the city *against* Rowans wishes and advise.

I honestly think they can become a threat close to their father. Their portal network alone could win wars. It forces the enemy to either spread thin (and thus allow you to fight them with a technically weaker force) or to abandon vast swath of lands (which allows you to bleed them dry).
The thing is that their tactic will, at best, let them rule over rubble and ash. Which is the whole point of Rowans protest agaisnt sacking Rastedeel - it is idiotic to do so, since it mostly harms the Empire of Bloodmeer in the long run.

I will admit Rowan is no chosen one, but he is a very specific type that is both impossible to substitute, as his particular set of experience and skill is very specific, and needed for the twins to be more than a local danger.
I agree with the first half, but not the second. Like I said earlier, I am pretty convinced that the Twins will fail either way. Rowan is there to strengthen the foundation and reduce infighting. Getting allies who are (relatively) loyal. Without him they will still get an army and bring the Realm closer to ruin. They will just not be able to actually win and be the great rulers. Because without Rowan their foundation is weak and the constant infighting and the lack of loyalty will cause them to crumble like every champion of Kheros before them.

A little reflection: This game is gold, but it really suffers from the fact that the developer tries to make a complex network of subplots and secondary missions that make the progression of the main story and the upload of new content much slower. Honestly, waiting for a new update of this game is like waiting for a new chapter of Berserk, for those who are new, a small warning: Enjoy the adventure, don't hurry, for many years this game has been stuck in Act I.

Can you edit the file for me?
I found the file and the line named config.console, but I don't know how to add True because it doesn't have False.
you don't edit that part of the code you edit this part. and i don't know how to send files like you just did plus i don't mess with the files much.

# If true, the console is enabled despite config.developer being False.
config.console = False
maybe this will work idk.

Thread Updated: 2025-06-01
Release Date: 2025-03-31
Developer: Vénus Noire - - - - - -
Censored: No
Version: 0.4.11a Patreon
OS: Windows, Linux, Mac, Android
Language: English
Game Pros
Only 1 language: English
Animations: very rare, especially sexual animations.
There are several blinking animations for the characters' eyes, and some effects in the fights are just shrill sword sounds, nothing more.
Full of game endings that force you, the player, to choose something you don't want to choose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I think I was about to finish translating this game, I see why no one wanted to translate it...
The translation done on Renpy only includes the basics of some dialogue.
There's a tutorial with pictures explaining a series of things you have to do: traverse the map, attack, steal, destroy, gain EXP, build houses, build soldiers, spies, and more. You can also buy all the necessary research from the library to progress in the game. It's all very complex, as earning gold here is very difficult.
So, getting back to the subject of translation, I'm also translating all the text in the tutorial pictures. And it doesn't stop there. In the game folder, there are still a lot of texts that need to be translated manually, as they will never be released within the translation folder you're working on, regardless of the language.
I'm almost finished here, but I don't know if I'll have the courage to translate the new content that may be released in the future. I'm currently translating it into Brazilian Portuguese. I've already been testing it, and everything is going perfectly. However, from the time I spent translating, I realized how complex and poor the game is. The images aren't jaw-dropping, as the graphics aren't beautiful. Besides the intriguing story of Rowan and his wife Alexia, what can you expect against two evil twins with all their powers and the main protagonists with none? Rowan tried to kill Andras's sister twice and failed because the effects of the sword entering their bodies have no effect.
I'll soon release the translation here for version 0.4.11a on Patreon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Below are just a few photos from the tutorial that I had to translate, not all of them are here as there are many.

Interesting project, i can understand more or less the translation since there are similarities with spanish which is my main languaje. However, this is a very long term game, so you will have to be patient lol.

I need to ask this again, is it gonna be canon that Delane will be turned into a Blue Zombie or not? it looks like another long and unnecessary path to me. (I re roll play this path and Nothing have changed).

I'm sorry to ask it, but it's been a long time since I've tried this game.

Is there a lot of content when Rowan and his wife become badass? I remember that this was a hinted theme, I wonder how much've changed over, say, three years of development.

If you chose Werden, its part of the route. So you can avoid this if you don't ally with Werden. That way, Rowan can still fuck Delane in the capital twice and advise her to flee, possibly meeting her again in the future.

News From the Six Realms #96 - Summer Days

Hey all,

Once again, it's time for a round-up of what is happening here at Venus Noire. After what feels like an eternity, we are finally approaching the end of Act I. This means that we are currently very busy working on plans for Act II, some of which we have discussed the vagueries of in past news posts, and we'll be sharing more about it in the future (including teasers and concept art) as we get closer to the end of this act. Here is a quick list of what is left to do before we can move on, though:
  • Helayna NPC arc (nearly finished)
  • X'zaratl NPC arc (one event left)
  • Jezera favour arc (one event left)
  • Che-Lin Blackholt arc (two events, one short debrief event)
  • Tue-San Blackholt arc (one event, one short debrief event)
  • Fae (still a few events, but not relevant in this situation as it will be continued after we move onto Act II, hopefully by a returning Hooky)
  • Astarte (remaining parts of overlord and sabotage paths)
  • Epilogue
As you can see, it's not a million miles from being done. Hopefully, there will be only a few more releases before we get there.
I mainly bring this up because the next release, due at the end of this month, will include the first part of the epilogue. I was planning on working on the Tue-San wedding for this release, but due to some planning issues, I have instead pivoted to work on the final narrative part of the act instead. You'll see a mixture of friendly faces, some who haven't had any content for a while (No, NOT Koh :p), and even some new ones in the later parts, coming in future releases. I'm hoping to include a sex scene for our hero with Alexia, as well as a gay one as we haven't had one of those for a while. Meanwhile, Rein is continuing to hammer away at Astarte on the non-servant route, including a Zii-Zii scene that has to be seen to be believed. Unfortunately, most of the other writers continue to either be unavailable or have to deal with real-life issues, but I'm hoping DM will make some progress on the next Che-Lin event (hopefully to be ready for the next release) and Winter will turn in a supplementary scene for the Jezera NTR path.

On the art side, I received the sketches from Momdadno earlier today, and I will share the first one later with the backers after I have finished and posted this. The good news is that we are finally almost caught up on the missing sex CGs, which means I can have Sommy do less of those and instead focus on preparation work for Act II. He'll be doing that this month by providing me with two new BGs I need for the epilogue.

That's all for today. I know it has been a long road to get here, but the end is finally in sight, and we are just as excited to move on to Act II as the rest of you are - believe me. As usual, the release will be on the last Sunday of the month, which this time falls on the 27th.
Only three updates left this year, so likely too many events left to finish it this year.
