The scene replay section of the gallery has not worked or been updated for a while. There's a mod linked on the main post that fixes it up, which automatically shows even scenes you haven't unlocked.

Yes, there is an option at the end of the prologue to disable it entirely.

It can still be avoided even without disabling it but you need to make the right choices.
