Increasing Rance's satisfaction stat is probably the biggest priority starting out. It's how you get extra action flags and how you recruit some of the most powerful units in the game.
Don't neglect running dungeons. It's not just about leveling up your characters, it's also an important resource for field combat.
Some characters are great out of the box. Some characters require some investment to make good. Some units are just bad, or are strictly for utility.
Don't waste action flags. There is (almost) always an application for them that doesn't have you repeating events.
Don't over-commit to assault and defense. Sometimes there's no harm in sending the absolute minimum to win an engagement.
You should never use the 'lower enemy strength' option.Question: Is the “lower enemy strength” bonus cumulative?
You should never use the 'lower enemy strength' option.
Once you have 50 satisfaction you can increase your fan. Its pretty hard to learn all the hidden mechanics in this game but at the very least on your first playthrough its almost impossible to actuallly get hard locked and lose the game. Even when it looks like you are totally outmatched dont worry too much.Alright, thanks. I didn't know it was a bad bonus.
Is there a way to increase the number of actions per turn?
The Sengoku Rance wiki is an extremely good source of information for learning about the game. The Game Mechanics section in particular is a good place to start, but if you ever get stuck or confused the wiki explains almost everything. The wiki was made before Mangagamers official Sengoku Rance release so it uses a mix of official and unofficial translations for names but its not a big problem and still very easy to figure out.I always find this game, when filtering for any of my liked genres + order by rating
but I feel like I'm to stupid to play this type of game. Is there a good tutorial / explanation for the mechanics, becasue I am kinda lost....
Truth is that you have to buck your toes alot to fully grasp playing. The wiki is a very good source but even then you should learn from your failures and save as much as possible. It's okay to backtrack decisions or test the waters for a few turns and then go back to make better judgements. If there's something specific you need, just ask.I always find this game, when filtering for any of my liked genres + order by rating

I've talked about early game strategy elsewhere in the thread, beyond just game mechanics, so I'd broadly refer you to what I said in those posts for some pointers (Posts 159, 163, and 236 respectively). Generally speaking, for basic tactics, you want to have just enough captains to fight off each basic bitch battle, with typically a warrior, a guard, and some kind of backline like a tactician or archer, and alpha strike with all your best guys for the last stage of castle sieges and other major fights. Saving and reloading to see what is being fielded in a battle is always a good idea too, some fights can be impossible if you don't stack your team right.I always find this game, when filtering for any of my liked genres + order by rating

More to the point, you shouldn't worry about the penalty you eat for getting the difficulty on some specific bosses made easier if you fail them.there are other failsafes in place to ensure that your experience isn't completely ruined.
Kind of?Is there any netorase in this game?
No. Rance only gets pissed if someone else fucks "his" girls. Which encompasses every cute girl that lives on the entire continent. Is there any netorase in this game?
I can think or one scene you're forced to sit through no matter what ending you pursue.Rance only gets pissed if someone else fucks "his" girls. Which encompasses every cute girl that lives on the entire continent.
That's not netorase. See this informative handout.I can think or one scene you're forced to sit through no matter what ending you pursue.
I can also think of a soft bad ending involving a character that would pass as NTR.
The entire Ran path ends with Rance- kind of- getting cucked. It doesn't exactly hide what would happen if you succeed so it's not like it is out of nowhere but Rance does not, in fact, score.
I wouldn't characterize any of the Rance games as NTR but you do have to sit through a few scenes of it which is enough to set some people off.
No, it's prepatched, but the link in first post in this thread is outdated, and today will be new update for dai in few hours.I want to make sure, so to install this I have to install the base game, apply the patch and then apply the dai sengoku mod?
