Ah—my guess is that you’re playing v1.0, the initial launch version (or you updated later, but after the quests had already been marked as active).
There was a known bug on launch day that several players reported, and I released a same-day hotfix (v1.0b). Because of that bug, if a player reached the final door, the game would tell them to visit the Dark Voice in the cells even if they had never encountered the Dark Voice before. I fixed that logic shortly afterward, which is why everything looks correct when I test it now.
Downloading the most recent version might resolve some of the issues, but it depends on which events have already been triggered in your save. I don’t believe it will block progression entirely, but as you pointed out, it can result in an inconsistent experience—sorry about that.
This is also a good reminder that I should run more playtests before releasing Chapter 2 to catch and smooth out issues like this earlier.

Well, I'm currently using version 1.0b, but I can't remember if I already triggered that quest before I upgrade or not lol. So, that could be the case. Been playing this game for the last couple days (a lot of content to go through! That's a good thing though!). So, I probably did just that and triggered it before I upgraded.

this game mostly just....kind of annoys me....because some choices matter....so just don't it seems. like the deer girl one. you give the option to save her or not and regardless of either choice the event still happens. you don't fight or anything to rescue her to stop the event. its stuff like that that actually pisses me off. mainly because if the choice only matters for the path of whether he is good or evil that's honestly just weak cheap plot and a pointless choice. if the choice to fight is available to rescue her then let us actually fight damn it. don't make him pussy out. shit like that is infuriating. or certain forced scenes i can understand are there for certain plots but alot of these are coming on extremely forced. and lastly you say its not ntr but the fact there are multiple woman who fucking around with a bunch of dudes but here's the kicker. most men don't like to see other woman fucking anyone else other than the MC.....doing it the way you are doing it gives off this really odd cuck feel.....and most men really don't like any kind of cuck/ntr/sharing bs. and a good portion of that group don't just not like it they actually hate it to the point of comparing as disgusting as pedo porn. basically equating it to that level nasty disgusting shit. i know you are trying to walk this gray line but dude its coming off weird. either do it or don't. make a damn choice.

Regarding the Fawn scene: I agree with the concerns, and in v1.0b I removed Anno from most of that sequence. He now only hears Fawn being taken away—he doesn’t witness what happens, and he doesn’t have the option to intervene. I also removed Anno from the Olivia & Spirit scene as well, which was a smaller change but for the same reason.
The good news is that Chapter 2 will be much more MC-focused. Anno will play a more traditional NSFW MC role going forward, which should better match what many players are looking for.
For context, I personally don’t enjoy NTR either lol. For me, that feeling usually comes from the MC losing something or being humiliated, and that isn’t how I view these scenes. Anno isn’t happy about what happens to characters like Fawn or the rabbits, but the reaction he has is the same as if monsters were trying to eat them. It’s not sexual frustration he is feeling—his motivation from the start is to grow stronger so he can eventually stop these things and save people.
Him feeling not powerful enough to stop bad things in Chapter 1 is sort of the point and it's what motivates him to do what he does at the end (maybe this is too deep for a porn game MC though lol). As the MC, Anno gets to have every sexual encounter he wants to have and passes on the ones he doesn't want to have.
If anyone is wondering whether these scenes exist as some kind of hidden NTR angle—the answer is no. The intent wen I made them was to include a wider variety of scenarios: group scenes, sense with silly monsters like Gup, and different character dynamics. Since Anno is only one person—and fundamentally a “good” character—it wouldn’t make sense to force him into every scene. Structurally, it made more sense to frame him as someone who can eventually confront and stop these characters and situations. Because the story follows him, he still needed to be present in a way that fit his personality.
That said, I’m learning that some players have zero tolerance for these kinds of scenes at all...Not trying to tell anyone how to feel, I just wanted to explain where I was coming from.
Out of curiosity, which scenes were the biggest issues for you? I’m guessing Fawn and the rabbit scenes, since those are moments where Anno wants to intervene but can’t?
I don’t plan to remove any scenes entirely, but I’m open to pushing Anno further away from the action and dialing back his visible frustration if that helps. It does matter to me if a meaningful percentage of players aren’t enjoying the game because of this.

Im learning with NSFW content it’s hard to please everyone, just how it goes. Interesting to hear your opinion though and appreciate you playing through it despite the dislike of the MC.
So far I have not heard anyone say they like it BECAUSE it was NTR, but there have been a few comments disliking it for not having a more active MC.
I think I should have tossed in some earlier sex scenes for Anno, so people aren’t left wondering if he will ever get laid. Depending how you play through it, you might not meet his love interest for a while, which I think leaves people suspicious if there will be MC scenes at all.

I think it’s just how different people experience the same game. For me, I don’t really focus on Anno too much in most of the scenes he’s not in. I put him out of mind and focus on the characters in the scene. Stopping the scene could be an option, but then you would just be left with the Zuri quest line, so kinda defeats the purpose.
In those scenes above, I usually give him almost 0 lines for that reason (other than him just commenting on the situation at the start.)
He finds himself in those situations because as a game mechanic, he serves to bring players from random scene to random scene. If those scenes are not your thing… well I’m not gonna tell people what to like or dislike.
As for Bartender, etc. I guess I don’t see it that way. For example - If one of my female friends hooks up with a guy at a bar (even if I don’t like him) I don’t feel personally offended. She’s not my girlfriend and I’m not interested in her, so why get jealous or upset? Imo it only impacts me if it’s someone I’m in a relationship with or want to be with, etc.

That balance is definitely one of the issues and early Anno scenes would've greatly lessened the issue.
Anno is also, as intended, kind of a set character and IMO it's not what most people expect in sandboxes. Usually people prefer having a bunch of options to dicate the character/what they would do in the situation.
Like the night Tavern scene would usually have stuff like a very player-centric option where the player basically takes the character for himself before anything happens, and if he does let her go to the alley, he'd have futher options like helping her disguise that she did that, blackmailing her into paying him, or even fucking him, or lying and saying he won't tell, then immediately telling her when they get back. Obviously with how Anno and his relationships are written this has no way of working, but that IS the general expectation of sandbox.
I actually do like Anno's character and agree that most of the stuff is not "by definition" NTR, but it does feel like it wouldn't take much to shift it in that direction as others pointed out.
Ultimately I think Chapter 2-3 will rectify the issues, since Anno will be an actual active initiator, but it's a shame Chapter 1 is going to filter a lot of people out of it.

Hello,
In v1.0b a gallery unlocker was added into the cheat menu. You can find it on the bookshelf in Anno’s room. It unlocks all scenes at once though.
idk why people are crying about ai, this was for sure one of the better corn games ive played, been looking through the forum but havent seen when ya thinking ya will be able to release chapter 2. Best of luck and keep up the great work bro bro

My hope is to release in big chapter size updates, so it may take a few months still for chapter 2. I’ll try and share dev updates frequently along the way and fast track what I can. Adding music and some voice lines is also an interest of mine. If that can be done well and quickly, I’ll try and add it in a Jan or Feb update.
For Chapter 2 I have the plot and a lot of art already done - so maybe will go quick?
