Let me begin this response with this: I won't be writing any 'meaningful' kind of incest, in any chapter, in any project I do. I have nothing against those who are into that stuff, I myself actually like a couple of games with that content because they're well written and entertaining. As a sexual tag though, it isn't something I am into. Plus, the community is drowning in incest games. I would have nothing to add to it as a writer. And all that is completely aside from the fact that I don't want to screw around with patreon bullshit or 'patches'. It just isn't worth it to me going to that trouble.

With that said, in hindsight, I made Camilla a little too damn hot. I agree with that. Karen too for that matter. And I even teased the incest stuff a bit with the sexual tension you mention. But it will never go beyond that I'm sorry to say. Now... I do have some notes written and a basic prologue for a story around Camilla, with you (the MC) falling into her own world. That may come at some point in the future. For now, my plate is full - over-full honestly. So it could be quite a while before I get to a point where I could do something with that.

Is there some deep, underlying incest here? Perhaps. But not enough that I'm breaking any of patreon's rules. And no plans to really take it further. I'm very sorry if that steers some people away from my work, but I'm also okay with that. I am glad that you do enjoy the story so far though.

Well like I said, either way, I'm not going anywhere right now. So far the story you have created with serenity is captivating and fun and I am eager to see the next chapter...incest or not. As for patreon's rules...considering that A: it is a fictional story and B: it is abundantly clearly stated WITHIN the story that the MC is the "godking" of a fictional, fantasy world; I don't think it would break any rules, though I do get your point that there is an abundance of incest games. Just something to think about...like you said maybe for the Camille game later

But again...I am just excited for every update to serenity. You are writing a creative story that many enjoy.

and yes...cammie is smoking...but don't apologize for that. Even without incest there is ole th of potential to get an eyefull of the hot princess with other characters (like you did with Samantha already)...Karen as well (especially after finding the real morgana in the "real world"). But it is your game and no matter what it is always exciting to play.

There are indeed enough VN's that cater to the incest fetish. I do not miss it in Serenity, BUT i do admit two days ago, when i played the 1.4 Version it crossed a few times my mind, that i would love to see Karen as a Neko girl. MEOW!

Yes and no. It's done for now; this release is the end of Chapter I of the game and so completes that part of it. Chapter II will come in the future, but N2theFire is working on another project right now (called Last Human) and plans to return to this and continue it down the road.

The Initial premise of the game is quite nice but sadly... I get the feeling this will be possibly an even shallower shōnen story then most manga/anime.

Wile I am going to continue this game some more (currently just after demon sisters) the pacing feels far to fast. Any possible drama a situation might add is quickly thrown out. It feels like there is no real character development for any of the characters so far. The MC also hasn't earned anything and has everything handed to him.

I think there's going to be a different approach to chapter 2, less of having a major adversary and more focus on the girls and their relationships with each other.

I agree with you that MC has God-like powers now and trying to create an antagonist to match him is likely futile, but I think a different approach might serve this game well.

I would be all for the story going that way. Explore the characters and their relationships. Focus on making them each feel truly unique.

So, I have definitely been busy working on Serenity Chapter 2's first episode (and that is coming along well by the way). But as I said I would do; I have also taken small breaks (a day here and there) to work out the issues I ran into that caused me to put off work on Last Human. It is important to me that the vision I have for LH can be pulled off. That said, I've had to abandon the use of an external software for the space scenes as I had previously planned after finding it just wasn't going to work out the way I thought. The mismatch between the incredible graphics from that just doesn't look right mixed with HS2 graphics. Not saying that HS2 graphics looks bad... but there is a level of "realism" in the other software that is just too noticeable to use.

So, now I'll be focusing on what I can create myself in HS2. There are some very complicated scenes planned for LH and in order for me to reliably produce this thing, I have to pre-make many base maps (scenes). For those, I am still looking for some custom assets, and I'll be tediously "building" structures from scratch where I can't find what I want. As some of you may know who have used HS or HS2 (or even AI), it can take a long time to get things to look exactly right. But once I have enough pre-built scenes created that I feel like I can work with them through a few episodes, then I'll actually start to render scenes for Episode 1 of LH.

The image attached is just a simple rocket blasting off from Earth. I have 9 versions of that same shot (different skies, different effects, blah blah fucking blah) but that is what I do (even with Serenity) sometimes. I'll make several then pick the one I like best. And even then, I may still make a lot of adjustments. And then I also debate on animating that blast-off... or not. I enjoy animations but creating them takes a long time. I may still choose to do that if I feel like it pushes the scene further. I usually reserve animations for lewd scenes, but I can see now that pushing myself outside of my comfort zone here might be the best option. We'll see though (if I can do it).

Anyway, just thought it was time I gave you guys some LH news so that you know I am actively working on that (on the side). It could be that after the first episode of Serenity chapter 2 is released, I may spend the next development period working on the first episode of LH. I never know though until the last minute - just depends on where I'm at and if I think I can get it done. At any rate, even if it's a while before episode 2 of LH is under development, I would really like to get the first episode out asap, so you guys get a nice introduction to that and what it's all about.

Hey everyone,

For today's devlog, I'll cover a few things that have come up. But first, I hope you're all doing well, staying happy, and feeding the fade.

In my last post, which was the Patron devlog last week, I mentioned that I am about 70% done with images. Coding is complete, new menu and animated image for that, and the episode guide is together and works how I want it to. Beyond the images left to pose/render, there is just the music and proofreading which I always do together.

Now, most know that this Patreon stuff is NOT my main source of income. I am a long way from that happening yet. So, I still count on my full-time job to keep the bills paid. And as always seems to happen over the last 6 months, that job has been demanding of my time. I mostly work remotely, from home. I'm a network admin, and we take care of 7 different companies. Most of the time, things are pretty relaxed and slow... I can quietly work on Serenity on my computer while if anything comes up for my job, I have that laptop sitting next to me.

One of the sites we maintain has had a lot of issues due to really old wiring (they still have cat 4 network cable in places!). Because of that mess over there, I've been having to actually go to the office and also to the site all of this week and part of last week. And will probably be doing this the rest of the week and part of next.

Anyway, as you might imagine, that puts a really heavy dent in my time to work on the game. It is very difficult to work on these VN's in short, half-hour to one-hour intervals here and there. Very little has been done since my post last week. This stuff happens though, and not much I can do about it. But it will calm down again at some point and I'll have full days again where I can get a lot more work done. It's just the way things are for me, and I'll continue to keep you guys updated on how things are going.

Just don't lose faith in me. I am determined to make this work and keep going. Whether you pay or not, keep following and watching for my updates. I LOVE doing this and even though my job will cause some delays sometimes, my stories will still get done. I appreciate the patience and the messages from some of you encouraging me! If I could quit that full time job, and just do this every day, shit that would be my own personal Serenity. No lie. But that will happen one day. For now, I'll just do my best and keep you guys informed. I'll post again once things settle down and I actually get some more work done.
