Exactly what I thought, hopefully the devs will add to this game in the future, it feels like they planned to add more stuff but had to rush it for halloween, who knows

I finally found the cane, entirely by accident. It's just past the gate/wall in front of the mansion (past the slowpoke kid), just to the left. It's completely obscured by the wall itself.
