I also think you would be ok to do it. seems like a good tier reward, and if people are interested. I have done a commission for a custom where the .dufs were included. I just feel like the character models are a core component of the game, and don't want it cheapened if someone were to use the models for things other than fan art. like a competing game, or worst case something illegal.
