It was to be expected, the creator was not communicating with anyone or talking about the development of the game neither on his Patreon page nor through Discord, a pity for the people who have invested money in the game expecting progress over the months...

I suspect that some people forget, or don't know, that the Abandoned prefix can be triggered after as few as three months of inactivity on the dev's creator/crowdsourcing accounts (in this case, Patreon). It's also the information source they're likely least aware of if they aren't paying subscribers themselves. They look at threads like this one and think: "Whuh? This just got updated a few months ago!" Or "Whuh? But he said something on Discord!"

Always take a gander at the Patreon/Subscribestar page, folks, if you want to understand why some games are prefixed abandoned.
