I recommend make a complete character first before adding. You will have a decent layout of what to do after you finish the first one.
I was thinking doing so after Ahri's first chapter.
Like,
Akali ** 1. > Xayah **. 1 > Seraphine Cp1. > (Poll Choice) Ahri Cp1
> Akali ** 2s > Xayah > Cp2s > Seraphine Cp2s > Ahri Cp2s etc.
But the problem here is there is too much workload:
Let's say I finished other functions and coding stuff and I write 500 words per part.
Each chapter has 3 options, and each option leads to a different part. It makes around ~3500 for each chapter.
My game's core mechanic is that each choice player makes leads them to a different route and ending. So there is 2 possible chapter 2, 4 possible chapter 3, and 8 possible endings by chapter 4.
Total of 15 chapters for each character makes, 52500 words. And holy, it is size of a light novel.
I did not count the bonus chapter 5s.
I can write around 500 words per hour. And let's not calculate the translation part:
105 hours for each character...
And my available free time for this project is around 5-8 hours a week.
Tha makes 13 weeks for a completely released character.
By this calculation, we can easily see. It is either I hire a writer, clone myself, or leave my work and fully focus on the project which would not be a great idea in my financal status.
