The second character is ungodly amounts of unusable at the basic start of the game without a good chunk of upgrades from the power up menu; really could have used passive items in game before having a power up menu to alleviate this somewhat.
Also personally I think the rarity on upgrades is extremely pointless and feels like its some carry over for what feels like was gonna be a mobile game with microtransactions, but I can't verify this claim it is just a gut feeling.

I thought the same my first few times struggling with forward directional based attacks, then continued to struggle with homing attacks later in the game. Found out I prefer directional attacks after they get upgraded half a dozen times.
The game is meant to be difficult till you start upgrading abilities with gold in the title menu. So you may want to focus on traveling the map looking for barrels and gather gold from them to purchase those permanent upgrades.
I have reached the 15 minute ending by the power of scythes. they start weak and unreliable but they become a safe haven at some point and I just move where my scythe army makes space. This is with a few lvl1 power ups(no amount up).
On another note getting gold is a pain. in VS the chests from beating bosses also comes with gold and you get bonus gold from surviving to the end so it doesn't feel like pulling teeth for early spending money.
Prinz Eugen is that you? With horns yeah, but, hm. Maybe Ägir?
How is H-scenes? As usual in steam - short gifs? Or just very short H-scenes?

Game is only in English because Dev is from USA
But in Settings You can see "Language" slider so YES there will be more Languages ^_^

...Dev already know about Gold and it will be fixed, Barrel with 1 gold coin will stay, Barrel with 50 Gold will get replaced by barrel with 25 gold and Barrel with 100 gold will be replaced by Barrel with 50 Gold

Sadly Gold drop will be boosted and maybe there will be also gold from Chests.
Well... Garlic is kinda boring weapon but easy to make...If the game doesn't have Garlic power, I'm outta here!
for sure its not gonna be named "Garlic" but there can be different weapon with same effect.
SMS ( Sexy Mystic Survivors ) is planning to have 2 Evolutions instead of one for weapons
also there are plans for Upgrades / Enchants for weapons ( that works only for Character with this weapon as base weapon )
Well... Raiden wants to waste moni on Game Designer... i don't think this Game Designer will contribute anything good... i already saw Game Designers like this few times... its never worth...
But im flooding Dev-s with Game Ideas ( atm. mostly Weapons ) - I'm also Admini/Mod on their Discord
It can be just copy paste and just more characters... but it also can be something bigger ^_^

...If i succeed this game will be mix of VS and I'm thinking it will fit good with Decision III Strategy Style
Since Game Style is just perfect for Decision Style ( today You can find this game as Decision: Red Daze on Steam )
but Decision I II and III are much better than Red Daze ( but u not gonna play it unless u make Flash work on ur PC )
But everything needs time and You could support Dev

Well I've been getting more than 3000 golds each round. My strategy is to use sword and just go straight forward to look for barrels, and it gets dull in some sense.
Literally just a shittier version of Vampire Survivor without any reason to suffer through it (that being the porn).
