I mean either way, I made some changes based on the feedback I got. I still believe it will serve for an interesting dynamic within the overall plot, like in this case, really helping push Alice over her insecurities, but then realising she went too far, so it serves a purpose within the NTS dynamic. Will she do naughtier things now or will she go back to her old shy self.
Well, I went back to the interrogation and recruitment scene and you do clearly say it's an aphrodisiac and the idea of it being spread stealthily is not amenable with a straightforward drug like I was asking about, sorry, I was just going by the club behaviour where it's handed out like a party drug.
WHat you're thinking of for Alice sounds good (it can work even alcohol or just peer pressure). So if it's like party-drug mix with the aphrodisiac or just the aphrodisiac being handed out to complement whatever drinks or drugs people are already doing, it does make sense there.
(So maybe it's a substance with different ways it's being used: the secret and subtle way which boss-lady is corrupting the city with; and the straight-up way, in which young people take willingly take a concentrated or mixed version for fun_ pretty sure I've seen in that in some sci-fi or another, prbbly something dystopian.)
I would normally be raving about how interesting the "dynamic" for Alice and the relationship you mentioned, praising you for not keeping it
static. And it is praiseworthy, BUT I think you know you've created something even more interesting for Luke. It's one thing, Alice having regret after a wild episode is one thing, but Luke always questioning whether he and vritually everybody else are doing what they're doing
in posession of their faculties and wtih full consent is a whole other game.
Then you added to this Luke's incentive to go along for his undercover mission and all the fuck'em to save'em results and you got yourself a legitimate, darkly-funny action-packed adventure! I mean, that's playable even without the fuckfest!!
