Delays around the christmas and new year period are to be expected. I doubt anyone sensible is particularly surprised or dissapointed.
Intresting as a Kate fan that's what I don't like about her - she is currently just diffrent personality Andrea (fully enthralled by Luke), feels like a harem fantasy. I would prefer if she was shown that she just likes to play with Luke and others(as toys), but so far her focus is to get Lukes attantion all the time. Instead Luke might try (especially with choices being added) to change his position from a toy but to be honest he doesn't need to. I know Abyss tries to sell the fact that she is only playing with him and that he "get's tricked" (we really need Luke to stop being so easily triggered, he seem like a person on twitter who would get baited by every ragebait) but it doesn't really work for me, when Luke still gets all other benefits from her. Like sure he doesn't get info about his step-mom but he clearly doesn't mind the wait while reaping fruits. If everything still gonna workout for him, that just makes Kate look like a attantion seeker obsessed with one guy.Heh, as an appreciator of Femdom and swarthy girls I'd dump everyone for Kate.
