For all who are reporting black screens, try this:

Don't often post but I fixed the black screen issue for myself all I had to do was:
1 - launch the game
2 - go to settings
3 - clear save data
4 - close the game completely and reopen

I hope this all works for you ^^

No more complaints from my side at the moment.

You need to clear save because there were a major change .... This time the gameplay just reset back to day 1. Things were off balance again as in wtf.
I shouldn't have put a cent into this.

Try to delete your registry Keys. It worked for me again after i deleted them.

You know I was about to write a book about how much worse the skill overhaul made the game play but fuck it, not worth it. Previously the skills where impactfull, standalone good and easy to combo with.
Now they are needlessly obtuse, waayy too conditional as in you would need a specific debuff on an enemy + a raised crit or evasion for it to be good. I need to read a badly written essay of a skill description for a skill that has 1/10th the impact of the previous version of the skills.

Its just not fun at all. I honestly had quite a bit of fun with the early itteration of the game outside of the porn, so this sucks.
You have less agency and die ofter by bad luck, and you only begin to feel the impact of your choices later on so the start of the run is boring and not very interactive.
