Yeah, at least to a certain degree. Luke is genuinely pissed off by Rune, although the comedy made it seem less even though he's screaming at him, also if you interfere he actually seems like he's on the verge of snapping. I do get that Raus kinda wrote himself into a corner when you interfere, giving how it has to follow what all previous updates have done, but at least with what seems the I guess true route he could drop the comedy. Like don't get me wrong I read it as when he said "I'm not mad" I read it like a women says that and at any moment can rip your head off. All in all yeah I get why he may seem dismissive but I also can see the opposite

Really hard to talk about thus without major detailed spolier as to get to this you have to play and beat all 3 routes first

Well Burry at least has changed and has worked his ass off to atone for what he's done and much more. Also Luke has been more of the glass is half full guy, tries to find the good in everything and gives a million chances to change

It is great that Burry changed and is doing so much good now, more then Rune. He is working so hard to help his brothers after what he did. But Burry sadly hasn't atoned yet for what he did considering the research done and obtained for the canine country, neither can Rune atone. Sad truth is no amount of good they both do can make up for what happened in the past. During Max route, Raus lets Acri point that out about Burry which is good writing and it applies towards Rune.

That is why I call Luke dismissive, finding the good in everything and wanting to give chances are great, especially with how a lot of the characters in Shelter are treated poorly but the past actions done did happen and you can't make up for all of them in that world. Burry even acknowledges that Luke understanding of Canines is too ideologic/idealized, which is why he agreed with Acri choice by getting rid of Shagbark pack, which also helps protects Lukes outlook on canines.

I mean I agree with the disliking Luke stuff but what would be the problem with Max being into men and women?

my opinion : this game is ultra boring blahblah... deleted after 45 minutes of playing without any action occured (except the cutting of the bombs cables, i don't consider as "action")...

I can't wait for the new version to update; the story is really interesting. I wonder if there will be any updates related to those little cats in the max route in the future... Even though this is a game focused on canines, I'm still very curious about what happens to Luteus.

Shelter v42 - The Kidnapping Order

Awoo mates!

Shelter build v42 finally here! It took a while and it's basically a length of two updates, but I really wanted to wrap it up at a specific moment this time. New stuff include:

  • way over 18000 words of script, not counting a bunch of side gimmick text
  • a bunch of new sprites, silhouettes and art in general
  • PATHS extended to the end of MID-AFTERNOON along with a few quality-of-life improvements and visual indicators. If you're on old saves can't see the full available map of nodes, skip-redo the beginning parts of the game, because it may be related to unlockable variables I added in this build.
  • brand new custom made quick menu with new icons and stuff!
  • updated music gallery
  • cut the build size by a hecking half by converting all of my visual files to webp format. I tested and readjusted everything as best as I could, but if you still encounter a crash or bug somewhere, please let me know on our Discord's #patreon-bugs-typos channel
  • fixed bugs and typos
  • new bugs and typos
In case you aren't up to date, this is how you reach the new content:

  • finish all three routes (Burry, Rune and Max)
  • witness Rune's Mana Balls (don't whack him in the Early Morning)
  • everything afterwards has to be done in the same playthrough. You should have a new conversation with Alon in the Early Morning. When you progress to Noon, he will appear again when you talk to Rune. Choose "Don't object". Progress all the way to the Evening and witness the scenes there. Choose to be passive.

Thanks for the share. Being awhile since we got a Paid version. (And mod also updated super quick on this one)

So just as I initially though ages ago, it seems it's indeed have "Secret Happy Ending", and the key is indeed Alon, that's why He get so much content even tho not a "Main route".

How do you get the android to work? It downloads as a .apk.zip I tried removing .zip but it doesn't install
