Okay, done a bit more progress with the battle system today.
Added a formula for damage calculation and a level up system, everything is already working as intended, I was actually surprised the formulas worked well, gonna finish it sooner than I thought!
Wish I could do more, but my legs started to hurt, so I'll have to lay down for a bit. What's left to finish is adding a couple of custom Level Up! and You Win! pop ups, so it looks better, and an item screen so clicking on the Bag will actually do something.
Nothing that confusing to make, at least not anymore, so I can probably finish it by tomorrow, I'm just gonna make the screen for today but implement it tomorrow.
Hello everyone, I bring you some news, I'll go on a trip overseas to help my mom with something and for this reason the project will be put onhold for about two months (starting from now). I got an external HDD and there's a laptop there for me to use but I'm not sure I'll have the time.
So I'm going at the end of the month now but I've still got things to do before going. I might work a little more on it before the trip and if I get the chance, keep the updates coming because I'm excited to almost be done with the gameplay side of things.
Anyways, that's all I had to talk about the game. It will continue! But might pause the development for the moment.
Hey guys, how's it going? I was on a trip for about 2 months or so, just got back home earlier today and as for the project I plan to keep working on it.
But I'm afraid can't do things at the same speed as before because I have to move out in 30 days so been looking for a new house rn and I'm also lf a job because of college bills. I got it covered for two to three months but that's it. Things suck because moving out was just out of nowhere but don't suck too much because I'm in the last year of college so one more year and then freedom, yay!
Anyways, the project will go on even if I start working, no worries! Thanks for dropping a comment, hope I can make it good.
Also, I'm thinking about letting the minigames and extra features out for the first release because they're a minor priority. Should be fun having them there but I want to focus in releasing earlier so I'm gonna do the programming part for the storyline, the renders and write a couple more stories.
We'll see, gonna get back to it after I rest, visit family and all, and then post updates as things progress.
As I write the story I find more and more characters I didn't make, so I've been making them. Went from 27 down to 15 left to make in the past few days. All male, because I've been forgetful of them. Some won't make it to the game due to limitations and a few I'm still wondering whether I should make them or not.
Are there any fans of Kensei? Or Izuru?
Because they don't have place in the story as of right now, but maybe later. If people aren't fond of them, then I'll just skip.

Some previews, been a long time since I've posted any models!
Found a new place to live, already got the keys so I'll be moving in a couple of days. Also got a job interview in two days, so things are getting back in track. Anyways, huge worries are off my shoulder for now! Having to find a house to move was the most worrisome out of everything, cuz of a 30 days deadline, but it's a case closed now.
Still working on it, in case people are wondering.
Made sure everything was working, updated TONS of stuff, and I'm right now making some images (not renders) for the story which I don't want to spoil, but they'll be nice to see.
Going to take the rest of the week until I'm done with the images and I'll post updates more frequently about the story and renders which are coming right up next.
I got this new job three weeks ago and I wasn't planning to stay for long, just enough to make a bit of cash but since I got there from the help of someone else, that someone is also trying to put me somewhere better, I might eventually get to work as a Java programmer.
It's a big thing for me to take this chance and get registered experience in IT as it'd help me to move closer to my mom because she lives in another country, of difficult access for me to get to live there, one of the ways is through being an expert in the field that country needs the most so companies would pay a work visa letting you reside there and as for now programmers are the hottest thing. It's something I really wanted to do for years, to move closer to my mom and little bro.
For the game, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep working, I'm sorry. Lost my focus because of all the career/moving/planning talks and thoughts I've been having lately, and work is a bit hard as well, because I stay out for 12h a day, actually 12:30h if I miss the bus. It's a bit far where I work so I get home tired.
If I get to work on the game, because I really want to finish this project, I'll try doing it on the weekends. But I also got college stuff to worry about, so yeah, I don't see it getting worked on much for now, but wanted to share what was happening.
I've decided, if I do anything at any day regarding the game, I'll bring news, I'm gonna update my next post here every time I do a little something, at least this much I can do.
So what's left to know about the game, how it's going and all that:
Last thing I did was to render Chapter 1. Got back to writing since I think the game is a bit raw in lewd content, I want to make more of them, for exclusive-girl's content which is what it's lacking so expect a bit more time to write them and render, but nothing too much, the plan to release on October is still very much possible!
What's already in the game:
- Battle Mode, I mean, it's simple but took me time to make this so it's nice at least it's there. It has skills now, I forgot to mention and the menus for inventory and items are there as well. Skills are coded but their animations are still a W.I.P, very easy to implement, but low priority as of now so gonna do it only after I finish the story.
- U.I, every single screen is finished, I don't have to make any new screens.
- Characters, I got all the characters ready for rendering, even the extra cast was finished beforehand.
- Gallery System, simple, you pick the scene you like the most and replay that, I found replay best because you can screenshot at any part you find interesting, has more freedom over chosen images.
- Dating System, super simple stuff for now, updated it a bit after the last post about it, I hope you guys will like it.
- Dressing Up System, where you can dress up your chosen character, it works, all the outfits aren't there for all the girls since it's an extra feature, but since it works all it takes is a bit of time to update the girls wardrobe.
- Shop, to buy items and outfits.
- Introduction, first part of the story, where you get to meet a couple characters and a bit of the main story narrative is shown as well.
In order, what's left to do:
- Have to write Chapter One.
- Have to render Introduction. - Have to render Chapter One. - Add more content, we're talking about exclusive girl's H-Scenes, Random H-Scenes and if there's enough time left to make something else, then something else.
- Put dialogues and renders in the game.
- Render skill animations for the battle mode.
- Testing and fixing minor bugs, as soon as I'm done with the other things left.

==STORY == 04/27/2024: Date of this post, I had the introduction completed and about 10% of the chapter one written. 06/02/2024: Written a bit of Chapter 1 and added more stuff to my notes. 07/11/2024: Some more writting. I think you guys will enjoy this part, if you know what I mean. Man I enjoyed writting this, gotta to be honest. Fuel to what comes next, because the first H-Scene is not the last it will have, plenty more to come. 07/13/2024: More writting. Finished another topic I wanted to make for this chapter. I've been taking notes of topics that should happen during a chapter instead of freely writting straight away, so for example how many H-Scenes it should have, what characters to introduce, what are the important events... It's something I've learnt from a family member who's an actual writter, it's working pretty well, great for reminding me of what are the key things that should happen during the chapter and then I just have to figure out a way of making them happen. About 40% of the chapter is written at this point. 07/15/2024: Some more writting. 07/16/2024: More writting. Practice with post-render image editing. 07/19/2024: A bit more writting. 50% checkpoint. 08/30/2024: Some writting. 09/02/2024: Some more writting. 09/03/2024: Written just a bit of the story, spent most of the time noting down ideas and made a couple new characters for the story. 09/05/2024: Written a bit today, made two new characters too, for the story, we're having an original cast.. Dropped the idea of having these characters, replaced with characters that were already made. 09/10/2024: Written a bit. Was actually fixing some stuff the past few days, so I got stuck doing that. Got back to writing, let's do it! 09/11/2024: Lots of writting today. New branches and what not for the story, I'm almost at the end of the chapter, then we get to the extra stuff! 09/12/2024: Lots of writting again, we are getting very close to an end. I want to finish writing the extra-stories by tomorrow or the next day, and then rendering, and then I have to do a couple adjustments to the battle mode, couple additions of new enemies now that's everything good to go and then that's it. I'm still going to write for a couple more hours, hopefully get one of the things left for tomorrow getting done today. EDIT: Got it done, tomorrow's going to be easier. 09/14/2024: A bit more writting. Had to pay attention to other stuff I'm doing but it's only a bit more until I get back to rendering. 09/15/2024: Reached the goal of what I had in mind. I mark Chapter 1 writing as completed and will begin rendering what was added to the story.
Heya everyone, time for the newspaper! To sum things up, I've got time to get back working on it now so you can expect updates coming again!
Writing is my weakness, but I'll try making it not boring. Hopefully it does Bleach's justice in terms of quality, so I'm going to be redoing a bunch of stuff if I feel like it's needed.
From now, it's ok the way it is, I just took a look at how it's going and I think it'll go well, it's only for you guys to tell, because I can't judge just from my point of view.
Anyways, updates are coming and I've been talking about the release a lot, and to make things clear, still don't know a date but nothing major is going to change now, I don't have anything going on at the moment so it'll be just like when it first started, free time to work on it without external events making the schedule change.
Which means, good stuff! I'm feeling as motivated to finish this as before, let's do it! I'm going to write a bit right now and update the Log post later today.
Hello everyone, started to practice image editting to make better renders just to get a change of pace, doing something else than writting. Was going to post the pics two days ago but the forum suffered instabilities and I couldn't post them. Let me see if I can attatch them now.
Here are the pics:
Gave it sunlight and some orange effects to reinforce colors and focus at the center of the screen. Koikatsu blends the character with the environment naturally, making them not stand out which is not what we want somtimes, so this was my first attempt to make the character turn into the focus when you look at the image. I couldn't blur the background so I tried something else.
* Gravity says sayonara to this bench. Don't mind, it's a modded map I won't be using, luckly I got another pool map installed. I only noticed the bench thing later
Here I tried making the image smoother, showed to someone that said it gets the pool kind of feeling, so... Yeah, it's what I was going for.
Some karaoke disco lighting and smoothened the edges a little bit, don't think it's noticeable now that I took another look at it but I'm all up for studying new things to do.
In Koikatsu alone there are effects in there like shadowing, lighting, blur effects, camera lens and stuff that I don't know how to use, might be worth a shot studying the Koikatsu engine more.
I think it's safe to say I just hit the 45% mark of the story for the first chapter because it comes combined with an intro, so it's probably at 50% now but I honestly can't tell. I've given it some thought and I think is best for me to start rendering now that I just finished another huge topic for the story and I'm free to get some practice before I forget scenes that are vivid on my mind.
Some images only comes when I'm inspired, it'd be a waste not to make them now and I think makes it easier to estimate dates.
There are things I should focus too in the gameplay I've yet to finish like Skills for the Battle Mode, update the return button on the maps (all of them) to get a larger area of click instead of what it is so yeah it's a bit of work, couple days worth, up to a week maybe.
Anyways, expect a few render showcases (spoiler free!) in the next few days and a log telling you guys (and myself) how many renders I made per day. Getting to know the total renders the game has estimates how lengthy it's going to be, it's great for both you and for me to know how much time it takes to render X images.

Today I finished another huge task for the Battle Mode, was cracking my head to implement skills for the past few days, they wouldn't work the way I thought at first so I had to change everything. The entire thing was changed and I've added support for multiple enemies that it was previously lacking. Crazy how you encounter these things only when you add others on top.
Also great reminder for making more... "general code" that can be reused for multiple things and avoid making code for that one specific thing.
Now we got the skills working! And support was added for something else that is a secret but is to come with these changes!

No animations for him but it was "super" fun adding this bad boy in.
As for tomorrow, going to implement the next part of this system and if it goes well, give the system some rest by tomorrow.
Finished implementing the Items for the Battle Mode, as well as Inventory and the Shop, since they are systems that work together in a way.
Related to the Battle Mode, it's complete! I thought I'd be more hyper but I still have to implement all the skills and items, which doesn't take long, it's just boring and some of these are going to be story-related so I don't even know what the next few skills/items are. The functionalities to make things work is finished though, so yep! Just gotta go with the flow now.
Did a couple changes to the GUI in the game overall, things like changing the colors of buttons the game uses, font colors as well and added a new look for the Battle Mode U.I, small change but looks so much better! I had changed lots of other screens as well that weren't posted here, but now we're going to the important part: renders!
Starting tomorrow.
For the rest of this day, I got excited to make some random renders to try a few poses and take some shots, make some editing, never thought I'd be that much into this, it's so fun.
