Go to the Plains in the morning and help the Mason collect stones. He'll eventually offer to build you a basement.

In the morning go to the plains area. In that location there is a guy that is resting, simply help him by clicking the 5 stones laying around and give them to him. After a few days of doing this, he'll build you a basement for 20000 G.
