Not sure why you think installing from AUR is better than using the normal repo... Especially since the version in repo is 21.0.6.u7-1, and AUR version is 21.0.6.u7-1, ie exactly the same. Sounds like terrible advice to me.That's just the runtime, for compiling you need the JDK, I'd suggestYou must be registered to see the links(I used to use Arch before moving to an M1 Mac).
? The Android environment is just for running the game, not for actually compiling the application, so you don't need the JDK or SDK in Waydroid.
Also do you not have a phone you could use instead?
I have no idea what they mean by "Ren'Py Launcher", I just assumed this is the android version because of the quote above. To perform this step, choose "Install SDK" from the Android screen in the Ren'Py Launcher. RAPT will report on what it's doing. It will also prompt you to accept the licenses.
What "people" is it you are talking about? Is there some kind of global rule in the world of how to provide a FREE HOBBY NOVEL that I don't know about? If that is already 0.6 why not just finishing it first? The reason people have an initial release are just because it will be several hours of playtime and need/want support on the way or they just greedy for money. The game is not even 10 minutes at 0.6.
So instead of putting out a half baked whatsoever you should have finished it first and made sure that it is polished. Seriously I don't understand why you thought it is a good idea to make that as an initial release.
And I am not complaining about the bad writing, the weird pictures etc. The only thing I really wanna point out is the main couple looking like kids. So I gonna report it that a Mod should take a look if that is against rule 7 or not.
Please read the last sentence in the "dev notes" section again... ❤The stories will be short and DARK.
Not only NTR focused, there will be femdom and maybe even some futa content further down the line.
All images are created using AI but the stories never will.
If any of this bothers you, please do not download this VN.
I think the issues raised wasn't that "The story is short" is that you are posting something with a 0.6 that has like 3 minutes of contentWhat "people" is it you are talking about? Is there some kind of global rule in the world of how to provide a FREE HOBBY NOVEL that I don't know about?
You accuse me of being greedy when I don't even have a way to donate or support me monetary. Thanks!
For me the reason for the release is to get users to try the novel.
I had 2 options:
1. A beta release like this.
2. No release at all
My question back is, why does it annoy you so much?
May I suggest you not playing the novel if this makes you upset.
But if you feel like reporting this a day after a moderator manually accepted the game, sure, go ahead!
Would you prefer if I lock every update behind a paywall instead? (I am not going to do that, but I have to ask when arguments like this turns up)
Please read the last sentence in the "dev notes" section again... ❤
Au contraire my friend. It doesn't annoy me at all. I just gave you my 2 cents without any roses. Or any "everything will be good" attitude. What "people" is it you are talking about? Is there some kind of global rule in the world of how to provide a FREE HOBBY NOVEL that I don't know about?

Unfortunately I am not able to know how good a game is without trying it. But thanks for the suggestion.May I suggest you not playing the novel if this makes you upset.![]()
It would be not the first time scenes against rule 7 passed the first instance. They are humans too and make mistakes. But if you feel like reporting this a day after a moderator manually accepted the game, sure, go ahead!
Not even once did I manage anything in that direction.Would you prefer if I lock every update behind a paywall instead? (I am not going to do that, but I have to ask when arguments like this turns up)
Kinda funny. Your bad reply reflects on your bad writing. The only sad thing is that you think I just want bad things for you. I could just have leave a 1 star rating and then move on. But I won't do that. Was the message earlier to harsh? Maybe, I don't know. Written sentences are sometimes hard to feel how they are meant. But your answer is still so unprofessional. That is something you really should work on. ❤Please read the last sentence in the "dev notes" section again... ❤
You are correct, I do not understand "your point". All I see is personal attacks, "you don't care" and "I will report this".I did not accuse "YOU" at anything. I just pointed out how the general devs are doing it. And now I even even less understand why you put it out in that state. And I think that you don't understand my point.
The one in the repo is the Java Runtime Environment (for running Java applications) while the one in AUR is the Java Development Kit (for building Java applications). Not sure why you think installing from AUR is better than using the normal repo... Especially since the version in repo is 21.0.6.u7-1, and AUR version is 21.0.6.u7-1, ie exactly the same. Sounds like terrible advice to me.
The Ren'Py launcher is what appears when you run renpy without any arguments, it looks like this:According to the documentation you linked to and I quoted, I need the android version of renpy to compile the game for android, that is why I quoted what I did.
I have no idea what they mean by "Ren'Py Launcher", I just assumed this is the android version because of the quote above.
In one section they talk about how RAPT is a different software, and in the next they say "just install it WITH renpy". There is no option for this on the software I have available for linux, not that I can find at least.
Your phone is only needed to play the game, not to compile. I do understand your thoughts on it though, so getting users here to test it should be fine. And no, I am not going to use my personal android phone to compile a porn novel. I keep my online presences separated from each-other for obvious reasons.
If you have a Discord then I can sit down and try and figure it out with you over the course of an hour max (not via voice call, just messages). If someone can give clear instructions on how to do this easily, I will do it, but I will not spend time learning about it when I have a ton of work to do on the novel instead.
Sry.
Let me try to explain again.I think the issues raised wasn't that "The story is short" is that you are posting something with a 0.6 that has like 3 minutes of content
I do not, well, no discord specifically for this user.If you have a Discord then I can sit down and try and figure it out with you over the course of an hour max (not via voice call, just messages).

Buddy it is NOT because of the version number or that those will be short stories. I just pointed out IF THE STORY IS SHORT WHY NOT FIRST FINISH IT. You would make a 10 times better impression to everyone bringing out a finished story.Let me try to explain again.
The novel is going to contain SHORT stories.
So, with that, if the 1.0 version is a SHORT story for about 6 mins, then how is the 0.6 wrong?
And why is the number on a version in any way significant in this regard?
I could have versioned it 0.9 and it would still be correct, it is not a complete application, hence >1.0.
An application can consist of only 50 lines of code and be 1.0, I just fail to see any relevance here other than the sake of argument.
Do you guys prefer applications that NEVER reaches 1.0, but instead stays in <1.0 so the dev can blame "the application is not completed" forever? I do not, and am NOT going to be that kind of provider.
I repeat, when first story is completed, it will go into 1.0 no matter how short or long it is. When more stories get added, it will be >1.0
Again, the versioning DOES NOT MATTER in this regard, it is only a reference to previous versions.
The first story will be longer than 6 mins though, second day is already loaded with things happening and I have to put restrains on myself or the story would no longer be "short".
I understand you wanted to release something but why is this a .6 it's not really even a .1 it's more like a demo. What "people" is it you are talking about? Is there some kind of global rule in the world of how to provide a FREE HOBBY NOVEL that I don't know about?

You don't understand how versioning has to be applied correctly, as alongside putting screenshots in the OP of content that doesn't exist in the current version leads people to download it thinking there is content.Let me try to explain again.

Ah, right, just a different "flavour" of the JDK. Good to know. The local repo contains the dev kit, no need for AUR but I hear what you are saying. I am still confused though.Code:extra/jdk21-openjdk 21.0.6.u7-1 OpenJDK Java 21 development kit
After you click on Android, it'll download RAPT (and "update" but doesn't update renpy, just adds the files). After it restarts, you can click on the "Android" build option again you get this screen which says about the lack of Android SDKAre you saying by just having JDK installed, Ren'py will suddenly ask me if I want to download tools to compile for android?
JAVA_HOME
points to a JDK 21 install, which you should be able to do if you run archlinux-java
beforehand (see
No problem, I'm just happy to help. After I'm satisfied with day 2 I will look a little deeper into this to see if I can include an android build too.
THANK YOU for helping! <3
Well you r wrong it's not sneak peeks or previews that bother me it is when you label it like it actually has some content when it is just a demo and if you want us to drop it, stop trying to defend it.Because it does not matter at all. Please see: earlier comment
And no, a demo would be a 1.0 product where things are limited for you. The 1.0 should exist and a demo is a preview of that.
Can you guys please drop this obsession with a number that means nothing other than being a reference for upcoming updates.
If you are annoyed that this first release is very short, please either ignore or wait for future updates.
But what this thread has taught me is that a few of you do not appreciate sneak peeks or early previews, so updates will most likely not be as frequent as I initially planned.
Instead of releasing +60 images with first half of day 2 today or tomorrow, I will wait until I am completely done with day 2, and that will take time since I am still moving things around, removing parts of the story, changing small things earlier in the story to make it consistent etc etc.
I was hoping I could rely on users to point out flaws and inconsistencies because it is very easy to become blind to things when you work on it.
Maybe I should do what most other devs does and ignore the comment section here instead...
But for those of you that do not care that the initial release was short, here are some sneak-peeks of upcoming things, so you at least know I am working hard on this right now..
(some of them might not be completely ready for use in production yet)

If you click "Install SDK", it'll try "compiling a short test program, to see if you have a working JDK on your system." making sure that you have JDK 21 installed; or thatJAVA_HOME
points to a JDK 21 install, which you should be able to do if you runarchlinux-java
beforehand (seeYou must be registered to see the links). It should be straightforward from then on, just make sure that "Universal APK" is checked.
No problem, I'm just happy to help.
No problem dude, glad you got it sorted out.You are a freakin' boss!
I am going to be honest. I had some strange version of ren'py downloaded. THERE WAS NO BUTTON FOR ANDROID! (that's was why I was so confused and thought I needed an android version of ren'py)
I downloaded the latest version instead and yeeeeeeeah, there is a button there that says "android".
Thank you so much for taking the time and explain to an idiot like me.
Android build will be available for v0.7. (this will trigger people who does not understand versioning, but a roadmapI will include in the next updateis now in dev notes willprobablyhopefully make it more clear for them.. That is all I will say about that ridiculousness... xD)
The answer to this is: YesQuestion for anyone:
When the girl questions the reason for the boy to ejaculate, I use the word "did he cum". It looks strange to me, and not being english native.. I tired googling it, but it gives different results.
So my question: how is "cum" spelled in this situation? I have a feeling "cum" is not correct, should it be: "did he come because...." or is it actually "did he cum because..."?
Thanks in advance.
or to put it simply, both are valid uses. Many style guides and editors recommend the spelling come for verb uses (to orgasm/to ejaculate) while strictly allowing the spelling cum for the noun (semen/female ejaculatory discharge). Both spellings are sometimes found in either the noun or verb sense, however. Others prefer to distinguish in formality, using come for any formal usage and cum only in slang, erotic or pornographic contexts.
