on the other hand thanks to not touching the game for months I've usually forgotten the game, so I *want* to clear my saves. was there anywhere else I had to check to wipe out or can I just delete the whole game folder, redownload, and be good for a fresh slate?
Just deleting the save folder should be enough. It's not like Shrift 1 where there's a separate file also keeping track of certain things; global data is also included in the save folder. So iirc deleting it should give you a complete fresh slate
Depends, Siren is super good for tanking. Really just use who you see as fun, the game isn't hard enough for the 'best demon' to be debated or for any particular strats to come out. The guide we have for most demon battles is literally just "Don't die, hit weakness if you feel spicy, use gym".
Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the difficulty of the new puzzles. Some of them had me scratching my head for a while before I could get SSSS rank. I'm actually impressed that Alan designed that.

This was a couple months ago but my guy, did you turn off your brain when you ran your fingers across the keyboard?you are 1 hour into the game you will survive, and yes save scumming so many times that you can't win and complaining after not reading the tutorial is normal behavior for a certain type of people, you play the game for the H and reset right before it, make up your mind my guy
Buddy, I read the tutorial and nothing in the tutorial suggested that you'd get soft locked for loosing and if so it was said in a subtle way I didn't understand. Also what kind of crack are you smoking? 1 hour in? Did you play the game on easy mode and suggest "I'm a complaining pansy?" because you're not slick. I know the "type of people" of people you're talking about buddy.
I was playing this shit on hard,That mean's less faith more grind = MORE HOURS FARMING. I also lost to the first monster on purpose so I can get the points to upgrade her tree. If you get soft locked for loosing once or twice. That's more of a gameplay design flaw on their end. That's just bad gameplay design. Wiping someone's entire save slot just because they lost once to a fucking cat monster is crazy work.
alright. for some reason the game has started to run incredibly slow, with transitions and autosave completely freezing the game for a solid 10 seconds each, and now after restarting my computer ALL my saves just got completely wiped out.
I don't know who I pissed off but evidently someone doesn't want me playing anymore I guess. anyone got a save?

1 : you get explained in the hotel that you can reset levels ( which took me 2 hours in hard while being absorbed by a darkest dungeon video to reach ), by the sheep in it, and yes, you get told when visiting it that he has a lot of things to teach you by jabberwock
2 : grinding is ineffective, like the head priest tells you, 1 hour into the game, grinding serves no use because you don't gain much above the first 30 levels
3 : the cat takes ( that's why I took some time to answer ) 1 hour 41 min to reach by reading the dialogue and focusing on the main quest
4 : maybe if there is a skill tree, then there is a way to get points for it that doesn't involve making the bosses harder ? or else it would be quite dumb since you encounter each demons once wouldn't it ? but I guess it is hard to understand since there isn't any yellow paint lying around to guide you
edit : 5 : you get told by the same sheep in 1 that resetting mid fight is a bad idea

I just stick to Kage-Onna, since her follow up attack can be useful for high faith builds, and she later gives darkness skills, which most enemies aren't resistant to. But I agree with Bruhhhbbb.

There is SOME of fanart on pixiv. But i'm suprised that you didn't mention the lack of a save spot at the hotel. Yeah, the game autosaves, but that's only when you enter it, and if you have no time left and exit it, let alone at night, it's back to the church with you. Though this is a minor nitpick.

Well it depends. Going off pure stats:
If you wanna hyper focus on magic then, Kage-Onna,Siren,and Rose are good choices.
If you wanna hyper focus on physical attack then Cait Sith,Jorou-gumo,and Charybdis are all good options.
If physical defense is what you're after, Torodon,Hanako-san,and Jorou-gumo are good.
For magic defense/spirit Kage-Onna,Torodon,Siren,Rose,and Charybdis are who you want.
For speed,Cait Sith,Kahaku,and Jorou-gumo are your best bet.
Luck is Hanako-san or Kahaku is best.
If you want pretty even stats across the board then Nut,Meg,and Rabi are your pick.
Not going over Faith or Will,but pure stats wise,those are the current best in my opinion.
Now playstyle wise,it's a whole different story,like people keep saying Siren is great at tanking,she has a bunch of options that make it really hard to lose unless you really fuck up or get unlucky with status effects.
Nut,Meg,and Rabi give you a variety pack of skills that are pretty decently useful in almost every situation but they're not particularly the "best" at anything, just good in a lot of situations.
Hanako-san is really good if you like spamming the various elemental damages or going for elemental weaknesses.
Kahaku is really good against wandering spirits.
And that's pretty much all I know from just testing out a few things and stuff I learned from here. But,like
Bruhhhbbb said,the game isn't THAT hard,just keep your health up,aim for weaknesses,use the gym for stat boosts. Pretty much use whatever demon you want that fits your playstyle. Most of the time I use Nut,Meg,and Rabi for the equalized stat spread,plus if you max out their full skill tree,Nut gets a skill that attacks wandering spirits with one of her skills at the start of battle so,if you get lucky and only encounter a single spirit it's possibly a battle skip skill. I think a few other demons get skills like that and probably earlier,but yeah it's nice,anywho that's my two cents.
