Hey is there a guide for the other routes? I was gonna do genocide but read somewhere a route called "hypocrite" covers all the geno stuff and more. Also I think those routes are shorter than true mercy (and all the ex stuff) so I wanna do them beforehand.
Also I have seen NamuWiki but it is so poorly translated my eyes bleed. I read every line at least a few times to make sense of it.

Check your files for a file named "Shrift Notes.txt". Contains some handy info.
I hate this fucking game I'm playing on easy with cheats and can't get passed the fucking lampas room on chapter 1-2

I don't know what cheats your using, but if you're struggling on easy with cheats, then you might wanna take another gander at those cheats. If you are gonna cheat and you don't own rpg maker vx ace, you can always use mtool to lock hp/mp/lust values and remove and add skills and status effects.

So I remember playing this game years ago and I think I got the best ending with the marriage and whatnot. But I've seen a couple of videos on something called EX 4 and NG+ and there waa this pic of the MC in some angelic armor which I don't remember at all.
Was there some update for this game after the ending was out?

That is a collab/new extra episodes following after the True Mercy Ending play it if you like, is so fun to do it

How long are the extra episodes. Debating whether to replay this game or jump to shrift 2.
I remember some extra content thst didn't seem to be translated at the time. MC turned into a kid and we play as one of the girls or something.

Ex 4 is reasonably long, I don't have the save since i wiped the game but I recall a atleast a few hours.
Shrift 2 is a prequel that takes place before this game so by all means it's technically not necessary to play, but I'd playing ex4 isn't optional. It closes in on so many plot points, it's the true and bonafide ending to the game.
I'd say play it, especially if you're a fan.
As for the other extra content, it's alot shorter than ex4, other than ex3 which is a bit longer they should be under and hour.

Ex4 alone has an amount of text comparable to base game. Ex1 2 and 3 are a lot shorter. All Ex chapters kinda dubble the game content. Its worth it tho imo. Some of the fights in Ex4 are really nice and Ex2 and 3 are fun and diffrent from base game. Ex1 is quite bad but what can you XD.
Shrift 2 is still not finished so you might wanna wait a bit on that.

Thanks guys, now, is this game linux compatible? I'm trying to run it using wine but I keep getting the message that I need rpgmaker vxace to get it running (don't remember buying rpgmaker vx ace when I ran this on windows last time).
Also, how do we get the dlc installed? Or is that already included?

Hi everybody I was having a lot of problem with EX4 like a lot of people in this thread.
It seems that most people have those 2 errors
I have seen that FirstForm helped a lot of people with those errors but for some reason his fixes never worked for me and they were spread on few different pages so i wanted to put it all in one place if somebody is struggling with those errors like me.
First things first here is a link for files that seems to be missing/have their name changed so game does not recognise them
There is something weird with some of those files (i assume two of them have same name and when its zipped they merge into one file) at least on my pc so when you download them look into Characters folder after you unpack and see if there are 3 files there. If you have only 2 try to download them directly by going into Characters folder in the link i posted and doing right click>direct download.
If you put those 3 folders into your shrift/Graphics and replace you should be able to pass event after Vanpire fight and first of the errors should be solved.
Second error was happening to me little later after final twins fight. If its happening to you also try to download Shrift again from first page of this thread but when you unpack it switch to JIS unpacking (in winrar press ctrl+e for shortcut). After you do that copy your saves to that new Shrift folder. This should solve second error but if you were like me and had both errors you will need to go back and put files from above into shrift/Graphics again.

I just used two assist points. Am I locked out of the True Mercy ending or can I just load an older file? It's really hard to tell what's persistent in this game.

Only on that run, clearing the run will reset assists as well as let you keep any demon bonds you've made when starting the next run.
Effectively you can keep doing runs even with assists until you've befriended literally every demon, then do one walking simulator run with no assists.

Are you sure? Unless I'm missing something, I don't think assist points are shared across saves.

The usage of assists is.
I mean, you can try it if the assist wasn't that necessary or a mistake. But it really doesn't matter that much.
