3 minutes of unskipable text that moves slower than a snail, i closed and deleted the game before i even got to any gameplay part.

also based on that one screenshot... its rock paper scissors...

You can enable "Skip" option in settings and press "Ctrl" or press "Skip" in right button menu.
And this will help you to skip 3 mins of text in 10 seconds.

Is there any way to beat the ancient statues cause it seems like they are just cheating and picking what beats yours since I've lost 8 times in a row without winning 1 round

You can't beat ancient statues. It's bad end where you can chose only surrender.
