I'm hopping Wellion the 4th executor won't end up as disappointing as Goritath and gets killed off fast. He looks like he would pose the biggest challenge to Nulken will ever face. That and make his death satisfying since Nulken officially hated him bad.
None of the other romances are credible because Nulkan has no identifiable character traits. He's a damn chameleon and basically adapts to be the ideal partner to every girl, he has no real character flaws and rarely, if ever, argues or fights with another harem mate. The only two believable ones are Zira and Nadine because both are childhood friends with him and professed they had a crush, so they actually make sense (at least a little).
My issue isn't the fact that they're twins. I never said that lol. My issue is that they're written like dogshit, and this particular pile is more execretable than the rest.
The twins pretty quickly warm up. Again, these were slaves. All the other girls had sad pasts in some capacity, but only these two were actual slaves. Even including Nulkan's Emperor Touch thing they are way too comfortable talking with you, at least show a LITTLE distrust or trickery, I mean ffs they were under WELLION. They, again, go from borderline catatonic to sharing their whole ass sob story.
And you're right, level 3 doesn't take a day. It takes like three, possibly two if you have gifts. So it takes two days for them to go from basically a PTSD breakdown at having just barely escaped a fate worse than death, to getting you off. That's such a difference.
About the third point, see, it would make sense if this game had a consistent tone. But it's not a medieval fantasy, it only has the masturbatory facade of one; from anachronisms to the frat bro vocabulary, modernist views and ideals proferred by characters and just the overall dialogue, god awful worldbuilding, etc.
This game's writing APPEARS good, but whenever you stop looking into the abstract and go to the macro, it falls apart like a house of cards. You'd think after Space Paws they'd learn, but this game is even worse than that because SP doesn't take itself seriously at all, whereas this game does. Also, Shuggerlain DOES have a story worth critiquing. It's part of the game, and even restricts your gameplay, your sex scenes, etc. You have choices, and there are consequences. You can't exactly handwaive any criticisms with "oh it's a hentai game, why are you taking it so seriously?" When it has themes like the ones this game tries to espouse.
An example is Nulkan going on a spiel about how he's not attracted to Dynae's child body, as I guess a way to stick it to the lolicons and shut down the possibility of any content of that nature. People were MARRYING 12-13 year olds, and this guy coming from a relatively conservative country acts like it's hell on earth. I'm not saying he should bang Lolynae but this just adds to my point.
And them admitting to the whole kissing bit WOULD have been a sad scene, if they didn't include the bit where the girls blush, admit they liked kissing each other and Nulkan musing about it before having his cock burst through his pants. Again, it feels completely tactless. These were practically rape victims- twins even- and they said they ENJOYED it, at least partially, and it's meant to titilate the player "because yuri is hot". What a fucking joke from a writing standpoint lmao.

No? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Is it normal for games, books etc to become worse as they go on? Idk I think there's some issues here with ontological inertia. And this isn't a "nowadays game", this game is more than four years old at this game, and will likely be 6-7 by the time it's finished. It's disappointing because I DID think it was gonna get better.

That's cool but for Goriath to succeed you need to move as slow as a glacier, it takes him 15 days to siege the fortress and you annihilate his entire army and fatally wound him in like a few minutes. I'm pretty sure you can do Kemeq AND Syqua if you're fast enough and still have time for Geinvirik. So he's still a joke, and again, he goes down like an afterthought. Erden is where I think this game's writing sort of peaked, the theme of lost trust, shifting allegiances and the overall fight against Jiliana had really nice pre-fight lines, a CG in the middle of it and it just FELT grand. Kind of a shame his girl moves on immediately and wants to get into your pants the very second he goes out the room, that shit felt foul. Out of all the characters, it truly was a man who became the best girl (at least to me). Dunno why he's completely sidelined and ignored after Fernia though. Would've been nice if you could get him into your army if you said/did something that made Atzi not want to go with you.
The second bit, again, it just feels tactless. All the other girls had shit stories but at least it wasn't THIS bad because they didn't involve slavery and rape. Idk why they needed to explain why this guy was bad when we already know he's a piece of shit slaver and torturer by that point in the game. It's just rehashing something we already know just to force a connection between Nulkan and the twins as their savior lol.
And idk why it's bad to have expectations, this is a 4 year project that's likely to be 6 by the time it's finished, and they already have another story-focused game under the belt, so having no expectations feels almost insulting. I don't like the twins from a story perspective, and you can't exactly ignore that, it's part of the game and they are part of the main story, you can't "skip" them like TNQ, Teagan, Hazel and Vex. Why should I ignore it? If someone fucks up I'm not gonna pretend they didn't lmao.

If you hate so much the game... Don't keep playing it. It's obvious it's not for you. Everything is wrong for you.
It's a porn game, with good art, good animations, with some worldbuilding and some interesting characters.
Sorry but I can't take seriously the most of your points because to me it looks like you really liked some stuff of the game but others are totally frustrating your experience because "I'd have done differently".
It is what it is. Enjoy it as it is or just pass.

You can talk all day but people already figured out that you just want something to hate/dislike for the sake of doing so.
See you next game. You should calm your expectations a bit though or the tears won't be far away.
the criticism isnt entirely without merit though, this game very clearly has a higher emphasis on story and worldbuilding and the way essentially every girl, not just the foxes, go from being a stranger to sex in like 3 days regardless of backstory or personality rings more hollow for most than it did in space paws which didnt treat itself seriously. is it bad to have higher expectations for something that tries to set up higher expectations?

Cannot be rewritten but it would be easy placing dates on levels 5, 7, and 9 for example (instead of 3,6,9) to make it less rushed.
I'm fine as it is because yes, there is emphasis in the story but also in the sexual part of the game.
But I really think this is one of those things devs can easily change if there's enough people that prefers it that way.
But I also understand their position. Finding a balance between story and porn is not easy because some people could feel it more tedious. And after all, on date 1 there's no penetration sex. Just foreplay and stuff like that.
Yeah I'm definitely not a fan of dismissing this guy's criticisms with "if you hate the game so much why don't you leave?". He makes good points about the nature of romance in this game. You have 3 conversations and ask 4 questions to a girl and that's enough to reach first base lol. Usually you spend some time in the girl's nation and help them out before they actually join you, but the fox girls kinda just appeared and they barely had any time to get to know Nulkan, unlike the other girls.
About the fox girls' first date, I also find it off-putting that they liked and were turned on by the rape they faced (and yes it's rape, they were slaves and were forced to do something sexual under threat of violence). But also it's important to note that Taifun didn't implement the actual fox nation yet, so there's more to the story that we don't know yet.

This is a sex game so we must forgive the author whenever it feels like some characters rush themselves into sex. Now that I got the obvious out of the way, let's talk about some flaws. I do believe Shuggerlain's story and world building was always above average amongst other sex games, and it was one of the strengths of this game. That's why whenever the writing feels rushed it is more noticeable than in other games.
It feels like a few (not many) characters have their first sex with Nulkan like this and it's lazy:
"I don't really know much about Nulkan yet, and I'm not 100% in love with him, but he just got a monster erection and explained to me about Ohgizz's curse so I guess I gotta 'help' him with that teehee! Me so hooorny!!" *undresses*

I could clearly feel the stress of the author this update. He wanted to release an update right before the new year just like many other games here, so the update was kinda half baked.
This game is going all over the place, with having to create retroactive side characters due to commissions, having to do sex battle animations, sex training animations, creating new characters and first date animations, making more H scene dates for characters from previous updates, making battle animations for the new units, creating mini games, and of course drawing the world and writing the story for the next area.
Taifun's workload is snowballing into a bigger and bigger problem every update as he tries to add more content every time. Will it all work out once the game is completed? Who knows.
I don't really have any suggestions for Taifun. It's his game. I'm just stating my observations. I don't envy being in his position.

So it's a bit surprising that suddenly this is a problem. When in the prologue Taifun gave us the excuse and the explanation to this sex dates mechanics.
What do you mean half baked? This was declared since the beginning a "Commissions Update". They had lots of pending commissions and decided to do it this way. About the twins part, they just decided to advance some needed work for the Siann update and introducing the last main girls of the game. That was the original plan and that's what we received. So I don't understand the half baked thing.
The game is right now at the 77% of its completion. In other words, 23% of the content to develop Siann and going Arax, that very likely will take a couple of updates. This is not anything they didn't face with Space Paws and they always delivered.
This was a great update, with a lot of new content and interesting characters. And I can't wait to reach Siann and punch Wellion's face one time and another. And this is something you ONLY achieve with a good narrative.
Personally I find this explanation very lazy, especially since we've since this "Emperor's Touch" in action with multiple girls already. It's just a lazy way to explain away a lack of exposition or buildup in any of the routes.
I mean, didn't you just answer your own question here? They chose to introduce the Siann girls without developing Siann yet. Because of this, the progression from "meeting the twins" to "getting a handjob from them" feels faster than usual.

I can understand that feels faster than usual, because they are the first main girl with this treatment. But as I explained, we are probably 3 updates aways from the end. Delaying their stuff more doesn't sound a better alternative. Taifun usually develops 1 date per update. That would mean date 3 on v1.0. So, no time to develop the level 10 animations or other stuff for them.
A previous comment was questioning if Taifun would be able to handle with all the pending work. It's to me pretty obvious they added the foxes in this update to advance content, and now we are questioning if that was a good decision because it feels rushed.
Do you see guys if you are not mad at something you are mad at something else?
Also English isn't Taifun's first language. While there are proof readers, the story may flow better in Spanish (Taifun's native language.) The proof readers just adjust grammar, and they are most likely not looking at the whole script either. So they don't have the whole story to go over and be like actual editors.
