On the last game I mentioned how much inspiration from Mass Effect I noticed.
In this one, I saw the name Director (plus the silhouette) and thought of our viewpoint.
That's definitely based on the Illusive Man, and the Ling Xe fellow is based on Kai Leng.
The Illusive Man's Assassin.

Not sticking to the initial plan is what allows us to grow this game differently than we thought we would. Its current state is already very different compared to the initial script. This is mostly thanks to the valuable feedback we've received about the game, be it in regards to story progression, gameplay systems or even accessibility.

I'm personally more interested in completing the main story so we have something playable from start to finish, and then go back and update the game with new content. I understand where you're coming from about the implementation of alternative combat resolution scenes, and this is the kind of content I would prefer to do as part of post endgame updates rather than get dragged into like a year long of development per chapter.

Hopefully this clarifies a bit why you won't see this kind of extra things right away.

so many games make the mistake of focusing on extra stuff.
if you "finish" the game you can iteratively improve the other aspects without having to scrap anything as the game is "finished"

Look your doing better than most patreon/subscribestar creators, rather support someone whose competent with deadlines/goals than delay reliant creators
