I would say the starting rifle is better to upgrade than the shotgun, the shotgun seems to do more damage but I don't think it's that good.

That's kind of what I was thinking since it can be converted to energy damage which (if I understand correctly) increases it's effectiveness against enemies.

if there is, It'd be after chapter 1, before I updated last night I had a version that only had Chapter 1 plus the passageway fight. If there isn't any in chapter 2 than I wouldn't mind if it got added at some point but it'd be interesting to how it could be implemented in a way that makes sense with the already established lore of the games universe.
The paperdoll is the image of your character on the left. If you look at the game files you will see that the female paperdoll has a variety of different appearances and layers to visualize what it happening to your character, e.g. if you have a parasite on your dick it appears on the paperdoll. The only effects for the male paperdoll is corruption and the pink slime, and that is on top of the armor instead of a naked man like the female paperdoll
Get fucked by Ava after you reach Corruption 3+, if Emilia is around, you kinda get the answer about pregnancy from a story standpoint.
From a development standpoint, it's currently not planned to add an actual pregnancy system. I don't even know what that would add to the game at the moment that would make it worth implementing. If it makes sense later in the story, sure why not.
The male paperdoll doesn't exist in any way as when we first made the game for the contest, male MC was intended to be a doom/halo style of character that never remove their helmet. Obviously, the game has changed a lot since the contest.
Maybe we'll give him an actual paperdoll and customization options one day, but if that ever happens, it won't be before the main story is completed.
One thing I noticed; the replacement armor you get from storage vault in ch2 has the same description as the one from agent 11 which doesn't make sense.
