In essence both photographs and CG stills are bitmaps of pixels. As far as I know, there is no legal distinction between the two when it comes to representing objects/events. By law we are not allowed to have or share representations of certain events (or those that can be recognised as such)

I mean change it to my name like most games do, not sure what the taxi driver has to do with it.

In a novel or movie, it is impossible for the reader or viewer to change anyone's name. But in an AVN, even a kinetic one, whether name changes are available is up to the developer.
This developer wants to keep the names as they were intended. I support this decision wholeheartedly. I can live with one game where I can't self-insert just by using my own name for one of the male characters. In case people haven't noticed, this game is a bit different from nearly every other AVN on F95. It's one of the reasons that it's so good.
People asking for changes are just pissing into the wind... fortunately.

That's why I made sure to add some chonky thick outlines and a readable font yes. I'm quite happy with how it looks now.
I personally didn't experience what you said, so please provide me with an example so I can double check.
This is a kinetic novel without choices, like a book basically or any other story that is not a role-playing videogame. I did have the option very early back then, but I realised renaming the characters adds nothing in this format but a headache when I want to use all caps for the names or a nickname for Lyna. There's always mods out there like URM if you still wish to do so but I won't add it officially.
