Discord makes it easier to weed out the ObviousTrolls™, and the "why aren't you doing what I want" crowd though.

I know of some devs that have friends/page moderators that track stuff here for them, while mostly avoiding this site. When they do show up here, it is to make a single post then bounce again without reading/responding to anything here.

Is it the best way to do it? Maybe, maybe not. I'm not a dev (between my lack of talent and my tendency to offer people explicit directions when telling them to go to hell, I would make a terrible dev) so I can't say one way or another. I can say that it is the better choice for some dev's though.
They might be missing out on some useful info cleverly hidden between the "waaaa" comments; but if avoiding this place is what they need to do in order to keep themselves sane, and to keep them happy with their own projects, then it is probably the best thing for them.

I started catching up on the comment sections in a few of the games I follow and I can think of at least two devs that should avoid this place (at least temporarily), because the negativity is getting to them.
you pretty much just said what I did. Though the biggest mistakes they usually make are using friends who are too close to them and get butthurt easily. And yeah Discord makes it easier, but at the cost of a large portion of your future patrons. I can put a billboard up at a busy intersection or I can open a shop there at the same cost, which one would be better?

But it's not like CleverNameGames isn't here, if you play the game he shamelessly plugs the site as one the MC visits (though parody's it as furryporn). So I'm sure he reads in some fashion.

Would have liked to continue with the story. Is one of the games I'm looking forward to. Hope the pool comes back in chapter 2.

I really enjoy this game a lot, so I wanted to throw my two cents in as a developer that's quite involved in my own threads on this site.

I have definitely thought about leaving once or twice with some of the backlash and how heated it can get lol. I have spoken to many other developers about f95, and most of the developers in this community are pretty afraid to come on here and this website just has a bad reputation amongst us.

And this is the main reason why they avoid this site; imagine working for hours and hours while having to deal with real life and all of the stress there, and then come to a place where a lot of comments consist of "WTF is this?!" "Shit, trash."

Literally all the work we put in is being told it was not worth it, and of course a lot of us are just amateurs and picked this up not long ago, so we do feel bad and we do get depressed about not being good enough. I know a lot of you might not understand how much work these games take, but IT'S A LOT. And a lot of us are just one man teams that are getting better as we go along and just want to give you all our best. That's the reason for the remasters and reworks.

Absolutely speak your minds and give criticism, but please try and go easy the next time you want to leave a negative comment or something, because a lot of us do try really hard, even though we might screw up, so again, please go easy on us, guys!
Reported. Maybe the staff could look into this. I think we all would like it if devs would use this platform more often than their private Discords. Might need some corrections in users behavior though. Personally I see a lot of good and positive comments here. But also a lot of entitlement. It takes work to get toxicity out of the system but maybe the mod team can manage that. I mean community who correct each other + mod team for backup.

The mod team does enough as it is, plenty think they overstep there.

This is never going to be the happy loving community you envision. It's an adult site with people from all walks of life and attitudes and I can't see it ending well for anyone going around trying to "correct" others.

Whether that's really a problem?
I don't think so.
This is the only way as a dev you can get an "overview" of how your work is being received.
It is normal that there are people in between who just don't appreciate it, just like in real life.
There will always be people who you can never please and who have something to criticize about everything and in most cases express their "criticism" in a way that is neither helpful nor appropriate.
Here you have to learn to draw your strength from those who appreciate your work, or express their (justified) criticism in such a way that you can work with it.
And most importantly, you have to learn to ignore the idiots because they will always be there.

I know I'm being pedantic but please go through your script and check every 'your', so many times it's used where you're should be used, annoys the hell out of me
"Your a moron", "your going", "your leaving?"
That's just from the story of Jess' last night before college, it's not difficult you are = you're, your is for possesion

About the only negative comments I've ever had are about the folks that come in here, unable to do any of this themselves, and talk trash about how awful they think things are. Those who can, do; those who can't become critics.

Hi, i know the side game has ntr and the main game has this flashback ntr, but does he plan to add ntr in the future? Like with these current LI?
Im sorry in advance if ever someone got offended by this question it's just hard to commit on a game that you'll hate in the future if they add ntr in it.

There is no ntr at all apart from the flashback with the MC's ex wife.

The side game was Lillith before anything happened with the MC, she was single and started dating a guy she worked with.

Yup, i already knew that.
I was asking if there will be ntr in the future with these current LI's. As i would like to play this and commit time. Seems like no?

You people going on about how people aren't nice, and say mean things about Devs . How could you expect to take a dive into the porn industry, and expect everyone to be supporting with gifts of flowers and red carpets?
I realize an entire generation of (insert your word, I have plenty that would apply) are out and about as adults now, but the kid gloves have to come off at some point right?
The problem I see is, the VAST majority of dev's don't listen to anything unless it's from fanboys/yes men. The opposing ideas, or things to think about adding, just get ignored.
I saw potential in this title way back, but the story stayed focused on a MC with morals so high in the clouds, a catholic priest would blush if asked if they could do the same.
At any rate, I'm glad the game is a success, it's just not my cup of tea...just remember people...sticks and stones.
