Yeah, the guy standing infront of the house is supposed to be the pregnant womans brother I hear. I missed when it was mentioned thou. However I did also run with this theory in my earlier posts. The sinfulness of the conception might have an effect and for the pregnant woman there is really 2 man in the game that is a possible father. Either she committed incest with her brother. Or she fucked with the gravekeeper, seeing as when we find her, she is next to a staff set up by the gravekeeper. It's possible we find her there cause she went out to look for the guy but he moved on to the east side of town and only left his staff there in the west where the girl went looking.
I still think is simply that all human births have been cursed by this point in time if they happen in Arcezon. The Otherworlder is no evil figure or anything like that, it cares not for how sinful you have been.

Another example of the means vs ends problem with the Otherworlder and its followers: the bridges. Suppose that the daughter of the carpenter is dead, or he kicked the bucket by the time of Leila's arrival at Arcezon. She may have all the skill and power to surpass Rabiane and any heroine in Sinisistar 3 (if it ever happens) combined, but if there are no bridges, then she is not entering the Cathedral by the front door or using the Underground Cave. Since the cultists never bothered fixing them, and the priest at the Northeast Village has his own thing going on, the Otherworlder is never going to get his ideal woman.

Another win for the Observer - wait its minion killed all women in Kessaria, and who knows how long it took for Rabiane to arrive... guess they both have a hard time finding good followers.
XD
The minions of the father are idiots. To be fair, the minions of the Observer are also idiots really. Those guys also kill Rabiane in more than a few gameovers. XD

Well yeah. I was running with that theory before as I said, I have dropped that one since. It's more likely that it's simply his corrupting influence is growing over time and that it might be more magic related. I do agree with the argument that was made earlier that it's unreasonable to say that ALL births were cursed for the whole time, since we know abominations have been popping up for years now. So much is noted in the Leech Abominations entry. If ALL births were abominations for years, people would have stopped trying. To be fair, they have kinda stopped, but that was mainly so that the church won't take them away. I feel thou that it all ties back to magic. The more magic the fetus can suck up from the mother, the more corrupted it can become. For one, the girls captured by the demihumans in their prison, non of them seem pregnant, even if you get Lilia pregnant there, they just chillin. So they might be so low on magic that they can't even host a demihuman properly, while Lilia is made to pump out monster babies with her magical potential. (hence why she needs the blessing of infertility)
The pregnant village girl might just have unusually high potential for a random villager (still less than a trained sister)

Cultist #1 (Beeves): hehehe, pregnant women create demonic baby.... coool
Cultist# 2 (Butthead): it's cool yes. Beeves, let's give Jeremy a Scythe to kill women who go to the Library, that is also cool.
Cultist#1: Heheheh
Cultists#2: When does the woman get pregnant with the Father, bro?
Cultist #1: Butthead you idiot, she gets pregnant when we fuck her lots.
Cultist #2: We fuck her after Jeremy uses the schythe on her face?
Cultist #1: Yes, we fuck the pregnant women then.
Cultists #2: Coool.
Cultist# 1: hehehe, yes it's cool.

She was going to become a Mahou Shoujo... in a hentai setting... welp, she dodged a worse fate, all things considered

To be fair this conversation could also go like:
Cultist 1: So why do we allow that one guy to use his scythe and make necronomicons out of potential mothers?
Cultist 2: Well are you going to say no to him? He has a scythe and can teleport!
Cultist 1: Aaaaam...good point.

Made my code a lot cleaner and implemented a "Block Bind" Cheat which when enabled prevents you from being grappled by enemies.
Also my Cheat menu is now draggable :)

Ill fix the attack level cheat first before pushing this to github and updating it here on f95zone too.

Yap, same for Lilia. If you go to the top without the powder (or you just choose not to use it) to be able to perceive him, his mere presence in close proximity makes you mutate out of controll to a mass of purple flesh. A mass we have seen blocking our path at multiple parts of the game might I add.

For starters I initially found it odd why we can find the powder recipe and ingredients in the cathedral. If it's the one way to fight and beat the otherworlder, why did the cultists not destroy it. However that is also the only way for the father to get the proper impregnation on Lilia and Haanja. Without the powder and the purging ritual they can't amass enough magic to host him and also endure his presence. So the father while unable to articulate why to the cultists, but was able to instill the simple instinct in them to leave that stuff alone. Hoping that a worthy vessel will find the stuff. Which Lilia did.
Consider the following: How are priests gonna interact with otherworlders without the powder?
They need it as much as we do.

I considered that as well, but then instead of gathering the materials we could find their stash already completed that they use to do so. Also possible that the powder needs purification technique to use, not their corrupted bullshit magic. They might have their own way of communicating, as well as basically what I suggested for the demi humans above, they get like otherwordly suggestions and ideas forced into their brain but non of them can have a proper conversation with the Father. which is why there is so much miscommunication in their ranks.
Also, the game says multiple times I think but the Father is not even it's name, it's just some bullshit the cultists came up with. So definitely they can't exchange words, not enough for a proper introduction even.

If I may draw even more parallels to Bloodborn for example. There the cultists also had an argument about how to ascend to the eldritch gods or even have proper communication with them. One faction tried messing with blood, another faction tried growing eyes on their brains for insight, and non of it worked properly, cultists are idiots in every setting, trying to comprehend what they cannot and dooming everyone around them to a horrible existence in the process.

One small issue. It's heavily implied they WERE making the powder, and they WERE using it:

There is a possibility that the cathedral priests may have come in contact with Seere first since Seere drops St. Judda staff. Or another possibility is that one of the Saint ascended to become a Seere. Following the Saint's ascension, the priests attempts to research and replicate it, but ended up as brain slugs. The powder may be a byproduct of the librarian's research. Also, being a saint must have done something so significant to their religion.

Feels like I'm siding with different people, but I like the debate so anyway. My previous joke aside, it is true that the ritual to make magical cocaine Scivias Powder was performed by Haanja and those guys never bothered using it when they capture Leila. It's true that the names we use for the Otherworlders are not their real names, considering Sinisistar 2 calls the final boss "the Otherworlder". But we use those names to create a difference between the two games.

Edit: after checking the last post, and considering the ingredients are guarded by the bosses... guess the joke applies.

I see, I didn't remember that line. I guess they did use it too. Could have been thou before they got corrupted.
Regardless thou, the powder only let's you see and interact with it to some level, but seeing as how the Father also doesn't say a word to Lilia and Haanja, my point stands that you can't have a conversation with him even with the powder. The best it could do is make you have visions like the final rape illusion.
You know that if the powder allowed for proper conversation than the father would come up with some bullshit lie to try and talk Lilia and Haanja into stopping their resistance and laying pipe instead. XD

He just shy, it's his first time in front of his crushes, and he fumbled so hard at first he turned one into a purple slob and the other into a demonic nanny... and after a harsh rejection by both, he still tried a booty call with Leila.

Seere is explicitly stated to be an otherworlder that gained a semblance of corporeal form.
Chances are, he has Jutta's staff because she gave birth to his somewhat corporeal body.
