I just realized that the lack of a proper slug level in the second game may imply that Rabiane reaaaaallly hated them to the point that she must have made them a priority above all other types of abomination. One fucker was hiding in the woods just chilling and the only ones you fight are found in the dream world and the ending.

Jokes aside, the game is first subtle and then openly shows that any baby conceived between humans in Arcezon results in an Abomination Broodling. Even Leila, after she loses her Blessing of Infertility, conceives a monstrosity when impregnated by the drunkard or the ruffians. The people in the town are not infected with parasites, nor are they abominations hiding in plain sight and waiting for some hot booty. So long as the presence of the Otherworlder remains on the land, there wil be no human births at all.

On a side note, while human impregnations for Leila result in the slug abominations and the creepy one-eyed babies from the cultists, demi-humans and animals (including the creepy leeches and the giant worm in the underground cave) breed more of their kind.
Well, with animals it seems to make animal human hybrids. The pig babies on the gameover scene are standing up to suck on her tits so the seem to be Pigman instead of just a pig like their father.

That doesn't sound like she was raped by a monster
The game is littered with monsters capable of hypnotizing women into having sex with them and humans that got corrupted/infected into becoming a monster. So that doesn't really prove she had a normal human-to-human intercourse. And from their dialogue, the pregnant woman must have been aware something was off about the man she chose to have sex with but she said screw it and decided to take the risk.

Again, if any pregnancy results in abomination brooding due to corruption in that region and everyone knew about it, there is no reason the pregnant woman's brother to be surprised about his sister's abnormal child or Lilia suspect the woman of being pregnant with abomination.

Except: View attachment 4750134 Also, the local church is corrupted and filled with cultists. The reason you are not allowed into that house in the start is cause the church have taken away pregnant woman to the cathedral to perform cult experiments on them.
Yeah, the pregnant woman's brother mentions this bit in their dialogue and he also points out how both Lilia and Hannja are different from them. But again, that only hints at the corrupt priests you run into later in the game. It doesn't really prove any sex results in abomination brooding.

Raw sex on risky days with the people in Arcezon only results in the creation of an Abomination. The people in town have suspicions and show their wariness if Leila talks to them while pregnant, but the actual proof is that being impregnated by the men in Arcezon results in the Slug Abomination, always. If Nennai 5 allows for normal human birth in the later updates, then a new explanation will be needed

I was just about to post that.
Demi humans already come in various shapes, so for all we know Lilia's offspring might be special too.

As for leeches/tentacles, they both lay eggs and basically just use Lilia as a seedbed, it's not proper pregnancy.

I can't believe you guys casual discuss about the pregnant woman without even go to the game to check. it doesn't that far anyway, you can just defeat the first monster then run straight to save the pregnant woman and see what are they talking.
The child at first seem normal (since both the woman and her brother doesn't know it's monster), the pregnant woman get caught by the zombie while she travel back to the village (there is a cart next to her) and we save her before she get eaten (as I said before, zombie only eat people, not bother to rape them).
When they get back, both the woman and brother not mentioned about she get raped by monster or anything. From the talk we can see that the church will take away any pregnant woman, said that their kid is monster and they'll cure them, but they never return, I don't read all the text in-game but assume the church become monster underling (like the Priest's case), they capture all pregnant woman to make them giving birth monster, so the woman in village kinda want to hide that they're pregnant.
After we cure the pregnant woman, she still pregnant, the baby not gone, so we can assume she's bearing a normal child after that.
So, I assume the monster somehow can infect any pregnant woman to turn their kid into monster (but they need go close to the pregnant woman first), that's why the monster randomly come out when villager give birth. For that reason whenever the villager see someone pregnant, they just suspect that woman "might" bearing a monster, not immediately confirm it, but they still scared, and they avoid to get pregnant (the reason the woman said she shouldn't try to bearing "his child"). The father can by anyone.
Also you can't apply normal logic (like why if Leila get rapped by the villager and end up pregnant monster child), Leila get a big stomach right after day she get rapped, it's absolutely not normal. The simply answer is the author not gonna go that much realistic develop his game.

New versions are just bugfixes.
As for the difficulty, it is what it is. I'd say it's easier than the first game.
Just treat Lilia like you would a one-hit wonder character like Mario and expect every contact to kill you.
It's really not that hard if you're not stingy with the two magic spells.
As for the one handed gameplay... the majority of the sex scenes happen when it's already too later, and you have both hands free.
For the rest, the gallery exists and is unlocked right away.

Or people simply don't know about it for sure yet even thou it's happening. Also, littered? Not really. Almost all monsters in the game rape by force not by magic. The goblins only give you drugged food after you are pregnant already, the parasites also have to infest you at a 4/5 rate before you lose your will to resist, only the cultists really open with the engraving of womb crest before the start fucking and then they go for full brainwashing.

But there is an even simpler and neater explanation to all this when looking at the lore of the other broodlings.

The way I'm reading these is simply that the curse is not a 100% chance to happen, it just happens sometimes, and probably the closer we get to the advent of the otherworlder, the more corrupted the area becomes and the higher the chance is for babies to mutate. I would assume that the mutation chance has to do with ones resistance to evil forces and possibly how sinful of an act was that conceived the child. Again, I wouldn't be shocked if the pregnant woman committed incest with his brother and that is what's implied when she says that she shouldn't have done it and being an incest baby made it more susceptible to mutate.
On the same token my theory would be that the pigman for example was born out of legit bestiality and the sinfulness of it cause a "miracle" child to be conceived, and in my post above, Lilia herself conceives Pigman when impregnated by a pig.

Yeah, this is actually the premise of my argument. Whenever Lilia gets raped by a villager without the blessing, she becomes immediately pregnant with an abomination brooding. But the in-game elements and pep-talks suggest human birth is still possible in the area. Considering the length of time they have been in contact with abomination brooding, unless the villagers are impossibly stupid, they should know by now that any pregnancy results in abomination brooding. But they always react as though human birth is still ongoing, including Lilia.

The people in town have suspicions and show their wariness if Leila talks to them while pregnant, but the actual proof is that being impregnated by the men in Arcezon results in the Slug Abomination, always.
Uhh, nope. The slugs and eyeball thing are obstacles you need to get rid of during the magical abortion in your dream but they are actually not what you would end up birthing. In fact, they show up everytime you gotta abort a fetus after any rape, not just the human ones.

It is a planned defeat no matter what
Is it possible to defeat the priest boss at the northern village the first time you encounter him?

I’ve reached the northern village, and when I interacted with the door, the priest boss suddenly appeared. He seems extremely unfair, almost like a forced loss. He has a shield that only opens when he tries to grab you, and if you run to the edge of the screen, you can’t do anything because he corners you. Is there any way to beat him, or is it a scripted defeat?
You can beat the village priest if you juke the grabs and shoot him in the head while the shield is down. Pain in the ass but doable.
