Updated to Sinishista 2 v1.0.5. Fixed an issue where items could disappear when loading save data in certain situations in the basement of the Cathedral. Blocked the ability to operate the UI with WASD by default (to prevent erroneous input on certain devices). -Fixed to save the cursor position of the save slot. -Fixed an issue where fast travel was possible in places where fast travel was not possible. -Fixed to allow the in-game resolution to be set to 1440x720 regardless of monitor size. -Fixed some UI layout issues. -Fixed an issue where the screen would not turn black when skipping certain boss appearance scenes at certain times. -Others

How do you get past that flesh cluster that has 4 orbs to break at once for that skill book? Am I there to early?

you're there early. You need to go to North East village only after you clear Demi-human lair and vampiric swamp AND get the information about the village from the town (which is after clearing the first two areas).

So I have been checking old posts in the ci-en site for Sinisistar and discovered a couple of things:

1. This thing is called Seere, a higher being who is invisible to the human eye and receives its name after the name of the devil. Sounds familiar? It's apparently inspired by a similar monster that crushes you in Bloodborne.

2. According to Nennai, the portrait changes when Rabiane enters the fake church, showing she is already controlled by the Otherworlder. (I didnt pay attention to this before):

Her mating with the slug was not a planned move, she was compelled to do so. So the person who posed the theory of the Observer being too enamored with the shortsack and foiling himself, congratulations.

3. Quoting: When I say "nightmare," it might be more accurate to think of it as 'a world created by a higher being' rather than a dream that you sleep in and then wake up from.

If Labian loses, the nightmare becomes reality: the slug impregnates Labian and uses her as a mother for the higher beings to bring into the world.

When Rabiyan completely falls into the role of the mother, she loses the ability to escape from the world of higher beings and enters a reality in which she will continue to give birth to higher beings forever.

After the final boss battle, the higher being is defeated, but Ravian will not be freed until the new nightmare that is the additional stage after the new costume is over.
Sweet! I was hoping I read the tea leaves correctly. =D

That's the beauty of the first game. The dev did an exceptional job telling the story through subtle hints and I know I'm probably stretching things with the significance of the holy sword but it just feels right, you know? Otherwise, why would she have it during her captivity in the tower? I don't want to believe the Observer or even the cult for that matter are two-bit villains who wouldn't think about that. They would have wanted Rabiane at her most vulnerable and it literally took a god to intervene at the darkest hour, hence its connection to the blade, which in turn explains how she miraculously obtained it.

Fun fact, if memory serves me right. I believe Nennai spoke a year or three ago that one of his greatest inspirations was the original stories of incubi and how he wanted one to be the main villain. I'm not 100% sure how that translates to the overall look he gave the Observer but it does add up. How incubi act, I mean. The dream-like/alternate reality of its making, focused heavily on eroticism, with the unholy desire to find someone worthy to nurture its seed in the mortal world?

The one thing I wish the original game did but couldn't (likely due to work/game mechanic restraints) was when Rabiane emerged from the flesh sack she was either completely naked or, more appropriately, was garbed in her white costume, symbolizing her god's protection in more ways than one. So, not only was she gifted a divine blade but new digs, too!

... I feel like I need to draw some art.

damn sick work! but her dead face honestly makes it kinda too scary, unless that's what you wanted. I changed it so that she will at least look alive though it doesn't look completely right but honestly will probably take too long if I want to try and figure out whats wrong.

Just realised the version in your video is cleaned up and the colours seems to be more muted. Let me know if it doesn't work on yours

Unfortunately, it's impossible. You can only change skin color or clothes. To change model height you must edit the animation code in game too, not just edit the sprites. :cry:
A sample (just ignore the number because I add them just to easier edit):

As you can see, the character can't stand still like the original because that's how the animation coded. You can also see her back hand get blocked by the body because her body part is upper layer (while Haanja original her body part is lower layer).
Lilia legs is separated into 2 part while Haanja legs is same as her body, so you must redraw her leg but the animation still look pretty weird.
Also many other problem occur when edit further. The easiest one can see is when she do attack, because the height different, you can only edit Lilia but can't edit the "attack effect" picture.

wow.. the hitboxes for the huge goblin are so bad..
i jumped FAR over his left hand and he still grabs me.. srsly, wtf

i even jumped towards it, so when i landed i would be on his left as the hand goes to the center for the grab..
(in other words, i would have 100% cleared the grab)
Nah, not really how You should dodge it. You can move away from arm, but better way to deal with arms is Crouch and Jump: Look at his hand before he launch them, if it's to the ground - jump, if above - crouch.

The way her hand keeps bugging when she walks makes it look like she's cheering and it's pretty funny. Would you mind sharing the portraits and defeat sprites though? Sadge we won't be able to get a full skin :/
The hands part can fixed actually, it's just because when I notice it's pointless to continue so I just leave Lilia original hands.
I planned upload everything I edited when I finish, however it's unplayable, because some animation re-use same sprite parts so when you edit a scene, it might effect other animation as well. It's only useful if you want to watch one scene a time.
I'm also not plan to edit all scenes, because I don't like guro and pregnant sex. I'll just do normal sex scenes.
And here is the Gravekeeper portrait (just in case someone want it early for any purpose, I'll upload them all when I finish anyway).

Haha, I'm not sure what you mean about dead face but I want her expression a little painful like Lilia original face (well, since she's get raped by a zombie). This face look like she'll just enjoy it. But maybe it can use in the druken scene, I don't know.
Though I'm not good at photoshop so if anyone can make a clean body (I mean without dirt and blood, the sperm is okay) but brighter from her original portrait then it'll very useful for me.

With the game goes so popular, I have high hope that the developer will make her playable (in some part because playable entire game is too much). Since I don't know why this portrait of her exist in the game if it doesn't have any purpose.

fuck all forms of censorship. Only weaklings censor something like a fucking sprite or artwork or something. IE any fomr of entertainment media to be more specific. This and all other games and such from japan should be uncensored instead of this weak-ass pathetic mosaic bullshit. I hope someone figures out, assumiing they havent already, how to decensor this.

Not sure how much this will help, but I got this from the blog post.
Might help a little. I didn't know what to do with Hanya in this image, because I couldn't generate her crotch properly. She isn't visible in the game anyway, because she's under Lilia, so I decided not to do it, but I'll try again with these sources.

speaking about Rabiane and the Observer, I always thought that lending herself to the slug would be necessary to reach the observer's place, that's why she did it :V
but the red eyes and distant looking during the cutscene makes things very suspect >:V

now that in the sequel you can smash the slug in the end (in both ways), I hope the developer have something in mind >:V

so while in the center, you just jump up if the hands come from a lower position..
..just straight up for a sec? it's more simple, but less intuitive, so i jumped to a direction so i essentially tried to jump over the grab..
but that doesn't work obviously since the hitbox is very tall for some reason lol

i moved when the arms came down too.. it works but it's more effort than a simple crouch

i guess i'm moving too much and this game is more simple then?

It's actually very simple if you know boss attack pattern.
All boss fight for anyone who struggling, all of them except the final boss quite easy if you know the strategy. I still not figure out how to fight the final boss easier.
Edit1: Added easy method to defeat Final Boss.
Edit2: I play version 1.02 and see the bosses now get nerfed. So I made new video and removed the old one (though I wonder if it's necessary since they're so easy now).
Edit3: Added no damage challenge, it's actually doable.:oops:

Also added optional boss, this boss the the only one that required some skill but you don't need to defeat him to progress story (except if you hate lose). Also small guide to save MP go through the village since it need to fight with the boss.
PS1: Yes, I let him gab me on purpose because it's easier for timing next attack.
PS2: Yeah, I m clumsy press wrong button for first attack, don't mind about it.
