Yeah no. Sinistar has 60k sold copys on dlsite, beeing one of the most sold hgames (literally on page one). The dev has 50k followers on ci-en, being place 20 in the all time popular rating for games.

This hanime only exists because the game is popular.

Honestly I thought that 15 minute "anime" was just a preview. I didn't realize that was the entire thing, lol.

If it weren't for the Sinisistar name it would have just been another throw away porn clip.

Reminds me of the Niplheim's Hunter hentai, another good game that was turned into generic hentai slop. Happy for the devs getting paid, but I'm not sure if there are any studios that can properly adapt a game these days.

Funny thing is, the anime was more explicit in that one scene when compared to the game. I liked how they are using the different death scenes in a dream-vision style, depriving Rabiane of the ability to make sense of what's going on (how did she beat the first boss, how did she go from point A to point F, the accumulated trauma of her deaths). Makes you wonder if she is already trapped in the bad ending from the Priest's Nightmare.

Kinda, they basically spit their skull, was almost comedic. There was also the moment she falls off a clif but the zombies dont eat her for example.

Sinisistar is the kind of game that grabs your attention with the animations and CG, but you stay because of the gameplay and atmosphere. It has little to no dialogue or even a guide, but you quickly get into the mechanics and the basics of the story. And the anime took liberties of interpretation without sacrificing any of this, even with the lower quality of the studio. For a first episode that is pretty great, especially given the propensity of over the top guro or dumb ass hentai that pops from time to time (looking at you magical girls -_-').

I didn't expect them to cover the death scenes like the flower one. Not a fan of the rinse-and-repeat approach of Rabianne getting defeated, then getting raped, but that is how it was in the game. I probably shouldn't expect too much from Majin, but it annoyed me that they didn't animate much action. Just cut to black and sword swings.

My point, they didnt animate the action. Was more like she getting grabbed then inmediately fades to black, they didnt really get into the rapes or deaths scenes.

can only fit so much into a 15min episode Im afraid. Dont forget there's also about 2mins for intro and post-credits

Anyway, it was better than i expected, storywise that is. I found most enjoyment in rabian thoughts regarding her defeats, and it is a rather nice corruption idea. Thinking that those depraved experiences are just her desires and imagination. PERFECT.
However the visuals and sex choreographic are a mess(per usual), and there is no central antagonist corrupting her.

Episode 2 could fix this by focusing on the village section of the game. But if they put the spiders alongside the 15 minute time limit then its just an hentai with a neat premise.

there was like a DLC update yes. It included some fixes, a new outfit and a couple of extra stages with new enemies and boss enemies

The first one. The 2nd one is obviously not released yet. There's no word on its official release month apart from that it will be releasing late this year. The only thing thats accessible is just the trial, demo thats meant for testing purposes. I think his supporters test it on their own systems with different RAM, CPU, GPU configurations just to make sure it works smoothly

It looks like they added an original character in this episode, some sort of pigman with pointy ears. It's not the thing from the animal farm stage. They look distinctively different.

No idea what their intentions were for this; they have an overabundance of unused source materials from the game. They could have easily snagged something from somewhere. Why add that?

They yet again waste excessive amount of runtime on depicting guro. At this point, I am not sure if this is hentai anime or poorly made ketchup fest. Though the game is very guro-oriented, there is no reason to put so much focus on Rabiane getting physically tortured to death when each episode runs for less than 15 minutes.

One thing that stood out is every reddish tentacle/worm thing that should have appeared in this episode got replaced with small grey worms which doesn't show up until later stages. Maybe they really do intend to make episodes all the way? I am saying this because the grey worms take up the main plot of the series and the rest of the monsters and cultists are just fodders for them.
