I know, I could assume that the woman depicted in the statue is Mary, for example. The problem is, I didn’t take a screenshot of where I saw it in the game—somewhere in the cathedral, I think. I saw a cross with a man crucified on it, exactly like Jesus. It could be a shared asset, and Nennai might not have drawn it themselves when using and programming it, but it’s at least very similar. Otherworldy entities engaging proxy war against each other as the deity that the sisters worship must also be an otherworlder too as the they can absorb magic from monsters and monsters can absorb magic off sisters. It's likely that the of this world also came from same source or otherworldy beings.

For instance, when Lelia uses her holy staff (or any similar weapon), it can affect not only the physical but also disrupt the magical abilities or tangible manifestations of monsters. However, the gods who came first or created this world likely have more authority than those monsters from another world.

I actually had something like that for a fanfic using Sinisistar a part of the main setting. The Goddess being herself a neutral if not weirdly benevolent Otherworlder is certainly possible, could also explain why they are effective against each other and why onle these Sisters can fight the outbreaks

But no, based on dialogue she has, the father is likely someone else. Maybe the Grave keeper or someone else equally as outcasted from the village, as her lines seem to imply that whoever the father is, doesn't have a good reputation or standing.

1. Pregnancy post human-rape

After the MC is raped by some of the villagers, she becomes immediately pregnant and the fetus in her belly appears to be almost fully grown. Later in the game, you learn that the fetus is actually that of an abomination brooding, which explains the unnaturally fast fetus cycle. Strangely enough, Hanya is the only one who notices this. The villagers hopefully assume the MC is not pregnant with an abomination brooding which in turn shows the human birth is still possible in the game. There are no hints as to why the MC did not develop a human fetus or any indication that her rapers may have been infected by abomination brooding. Hopefully the developers provide us with an explanation for this soon.

There's already a full explanation in the game. ALL babies conceived in the region are being corrupted into abomination broodlings, that's why all pregnant women were taken to the cathedral at first (before priests got corrupted too).
Haanja explains it very clearly when you do the pregnant woman quest.

If you wanna dodge the swamp boss when he charges you just need to shoot him in the face as he's coming at you and then he'll back off

I did try doing that but I guess I didn't do enough damage or missed the mark?
Anyway I just tanked through it and was able to out damage it down before running out of potions lol.

No, the father must be just some random dude she tried to have a baby with. It doesn't matter who he is, what matters is that quest establishes that ALL babies turn into broodlings.
It's further proven by the fact you have to fight the same slug boss if protagonist gets pregnant. The influence of the Otherworlder is corrupting fetuses in the region.

Anyways. I have a bigger question. Why Otherworlder has very clear boobs? Could the thing we fight in the end be a possessed body of the nun that tried to banish it before protagnist arrived? She entered the chamber but never returned.

The Cathedral priest undergoing research on what their god truly is must have gone mad. During their research, many of the priest grew their brains that it burst out what it became the brain snails. The brain snails being half corporeal possibly leading the priest to study and and invent ways to bring non-corporeal form into corporeal through making scivias powder. On application of Scivias powder, they discovered the Father and Seere, and both are highly revered. Priest seeking ascension, they plucked and experimented on Father's flesh. Failed experiments are throwned outside of the basement that connected to the well of the NorthEast Village causing growing into a large scale monstrosity, and from there where villagers of the Northeast village and the pigs are infected with the parasite born from failed experiments. The parasitized villagers start to seek the Cathedral for help in curing illnesses causing the priest to take advantage of them depopulating villages in the process and uses them in further experiement. These experiments, like other experiments, are also failures as female villagers they took in to experiment on birthing stillborn instead of true Father. Meanwhile, the northeast village parasitism grew severely causing some to mutate into leeches in what we known as vampiric swamp, possibly being ground zero of infection. It seems that only half of the northeast village remains that are still in the middle of process of mutating into those leeches.
