Huh, it seems that nobody just... interacted with the Cauldron twice.
Since if you did you would discover that you can endlessly get more Dubious Potions, I've gotten over 30 by now and there doesn't seem to be a limit.
PS: If you want to get many potions quickly, hold ctrl to skip the dialogue and you can just spam for quick potions.

Tbf there is no real use for the potion so unless you like to hord items it's really just a waste of time

The use certain item at a certain place entry is using the powder that lets you see unseen things on the altar on path to demihuman cave. It was mentioned in previous posts.

To update game, I simply delete whole folder with game, and extract new game version. Save files are on disc C in AppData so you wont remove them by deleting game.

I have a question about the performance mod. Most of the changes sound like straight-up improvements (even if you don't need the performance), except possibly for these ones:
- Turns OFF Most Shaders
- Turns OFF Most Light Effects
- Turns OFF Blur Effect (YES! No more nasty blurring!)
- Turns OFF Some Fog Effects
- Turns OFF Being Drunk Effects

Are these an all-or-nothing thing? Are they noticeable visual downgrades (aside from the annoying ones)?

The game looks interesting, but before I play, I'd like to know if it is one of those games, where you need to lose to get nsfw content? Also, is it worth playing the first Sinistar before starting this one?

no, literally if you kill the area boss then everything will be unlocked, so just play the game normally and kill everything that is hostile to you. once you finished the game, you can enjoy all the scene without any worry of missing out (unless you really miss out on some side event because there really is side event that doesn't tied to main story and easily skipable)
for experience, yes, you should get the 1st game too, although 2nd game takes all the cake because massive improvement and difference as if it's from 2 different developer

you don't need to (you can finish the game and look at the gallery after) but personally as a masochistic sub i prefer losing to get the nsfw content for the better immersion

1. Yes, they are bound together.
2. Not at all. It only removes light effects like: light glow from candles or torches, etc. But I think that best thing is Remove Blur Effect, that makes game look more sharp and don't hide any screen details by blurring them.

If you don't want to remove any game effects, you can only replace "boot.config" file alone.
