If birthing the Otherworlder's vessel was this one time, "just impregnate her correctly" thing, the cultists would not be so willing to kill Lilia. They would be intensively trying to capture women, her included, alive.

But what are they doing?
They cornered the village with flesh eating zombies.
They fucking murder Lilia half the time in the northeast village. Set many lethal defenses in the cathedral, and you've got priests there who immediately try to chop her head off.
If it can get away with it, the Otherworlder just turns 2 potential mothers into purple meat pinatas when they land directly on its lap.

All that to say - they're clearly not in any rush. They're clearly not concerned about running out of mothers. And they don't seem to be trying to create the perfect, successful "baby vessel".
They're just churning broodlings and stillborns out at a steady pace.
That seems to be the plan. Quantity.
When enough Otherworlder flesh has been born into this world, it'll probably be able to merge it and inhabit it - unlike the invisible, half summoned avatar we fight.

The priest try to chop her head off is a librarian probably obsessed on attaining knowledge same as all of his self-absorbed fellow librarians that are now brain slugs. The librarians shows somewhat successful progress on replicating the powers of the otherworlder at the significant cost of turning into brain slugs. They probably don't seem to care about the making a vessel of the Father, and they also hidden another otherworlder below the library.

There is another priest outside of cathedral in Northern village experiments on creating alternative methods of vessels other than through birthing using parasites. It doesn't seem to be successful either as the Father didn't seem to bother to try to inhabit the vessel. I would say the Father is quite picky on what vessel that it wants to inhabit.

Developer are planning to add Rabianne later down the patches. Maybe, Rabianne can birth a perfect vessel for Father while Liliah can birth perfect vessel for the slug otherworlder. Rabianne has little magic capability and rely on brute strength is more fit for the Father as the Father seems to lack intelligence compared to the one that Rabianne fought in previous game.

When you asked my plan with what scenes I would replace. Basically my answer was instead of picking the scenes we specifically wanted to change, instead we create a pose then find all the scenes that would make sense with it and adapt it to those scenes, mostly to increases the variety with the least amount of work but is also scalable if we wanted to add more than one pose. My bad if Im not explaining it well enough

It's a theory I said earlier. I'm pretty sure that to have a successful birth of the otherworlder, a mother needs to be particularly powerful. All the death traps could simply carry the logic of: if Lilia can't even get past this shit, she is clearly not worthy. In fact it very much seems like they only become worthy when their magic is at their peek, the purification ritual fully charged. If you lose the otherworlder fight early, you still only become a nanny to an abomination broodling. It seems like it takes imense magic to be able to properly host the otherworlder.

Also, it can also be simple information asymmetry. The minions of the Father don't know exactly what is needed to get him birthed into this world. That's why they took away pregnant woman to experiment on them. They are just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Plus half of them went crazy anyway experimenting with other stuff, like expanding their minds that got them mind blown and turned into half corporeal brain slugs.

The minions of the Father are not a solid unit, they are not well coordinated and managed, they are a bunch of crazy fanatics and corrupted monsters fumbling over themselves each having their own stupid inaccurate interpretation of how to serve their master.

Even the demihumans for example are servants of the Father btw. Look at the masks the high ranking ones wear with the white face and central eye like design. Looks like the central slit on the face of the Father. However the deihumans probably don't even understand it, the worship the demihuman god cause they can see that clearly, and the father, being the master of the demihuman god, they can just kinda feel it in their soul, whispering in the back of their head. They get the urge to rape and impregnate but don't understand why. They make the woman they impregnated wear a mask and they paint the eye on the pregnant belly too. They are trying to please their unseen master, they just have absolutely no idea what the fuck they are doing and are clearly failing at their jobs.

I think the profile one sounds great since it'll visually be very different from what's there. I mean that could also be true for the other two though my imagination of what should look like makes me think that would be similar front poses. If we were to go with the plan I suggested, we would pick one of the poses you suggested and work purely on that for now. Or do you reckon that it's fine working with the 3 poses in mind to implement?

If you go to the top without the powder (or you just choose not to use it) to be able to perceive him, his mere presence in close proximity makes you mutate out of controll to a mass of purple flesh. A mass we have seen blocking our path at multiple parts of the game might I add.

For starters I initially found it odd why we can find the powder recipe and ingredients in the cathedral. If it's the one way to fight and beat the otherworlder, why did the cultists not destroy it. However that is also the only way for the father to get the proper impregnation on Lilia and Haanja. Without the powder and the purging ritual they can't amass enough magic to host him and also endure his presence. So the father while unable to articulate why to the cultists, but was able to instill the simple instinct in them to leave that stuff alone. Hoping that a worthy vessel will find the stuff. Which Lilia did.

yeah, pretty sure the sisters already know that the chance of being defeated and impregnated with whatever creature from darkness there are really big, so they developed this blessing to at least, try to avoid sisters spawing demon spawns in case of defeat.
Hanya when see you in such condition says "oh, your body! well let's treat it" in a way that let me wonder if it's common to see sisters in the same condition, as if "well, whatever" aahahhah

Something i've noticed in this game is that the Abomination Broodling is actually a curse that was inflicted upon the land, so anyone that have a child there (voluntary or not) will end bearing a broodling instead of their own child, it can explain why the pregnant woman npc, albeit not visibly violated to any monster, says "I should not have tried to have a child with him".
Also, the process of bearing the abomination seems to be absurdly quick, starting right after the fertilization.

I have a theory that people in the village can recognise a broodling victim just by seeing a person that became pregnant out of nowere, but this theory can also be cancelled if the girl NPC thatis found in the left part of the village is indeed pregnant as Lilia keeps saying.

Game is so good that open space to theorycraft.

Yea that's what I meant by "Some Statuses are very scripted". They are tied to specific locations and will break your game if you somehow trigger it elsewhere. What this also means is that we could create custom Abnormal Statuses with custom portraits, sprites and scripts. (Another Idea for a content mod)
Oh yeah the attack level is currently broken for some reason. On my first test it worked but then it suddenly didn't anymore. I gotta investigate it xD

what if you instead make the cap higher than 5 to 100, and then we level up in-game in the statues?
or another idea increase the atk multiplier for each level since i assume it's fixed like idk maybe
+3 per level or something

If I recall right, the powder were made to allow the creatures to become "tangible", allowing the priests to do whatever they planned to do, before you manage to get ingredients the lorebook say you that albeit the creatures are still intangible, you can perceive them by the lights that starts to flicker in presence of them. :3

Yep, I agree with this. The Abominations Broodlings with intelligence may worship the Father in their way, but they stick to their thing with the only result being higher numbers; they have little ability to think of anything else. The Cultists are convinced they know the way and expect to find better vessels, but they have effectively hit a dead end in their research. Their efforts are depriving their master of potential vessels, and IF they know about the Scivias Powder, they certainly haven't tried using it to force Leila into becoming a true vessel. Both Otherworlders take a different approach, but they both want an ideal vessel to be properly born into the World.

Leila gains the status "Mother of the Otherworlder" when she loses the struggle during the rape scene in the final fight She is not mother of stillborns, demi-humans, or livestock... she becomes the vessel of the Otherworlder, birthing its children and acting as its means to manifest in the world properly.

Lilia developing her baby instantly could be just as simple as the game not having a time system in it so there is no other way to deal with it. (Also if it took 9 months in game, that would be kinda silly)
It could be chalked up to another concept in game that goes in line with my other theories. Magic is the key.Haanja mentioned that monsters are more attracted to them as opposed to civilians cause they produce more magic. So the baby of Lilia might develop as fast as it does cause it has far more magic to suck up from her than from a normal mother.Under the same sentiment, it is implied indeed that there is some sort of curse...also...there is a monster in the well...the water might simply be contaminated. However it wasn't every baby being abomination initially, but just happening rarely, however it's been getting worse over time.

Looks a lot of placeholder stuff, but the slugs are some sort of opening door to access of the outworlder and things in it's dimension, also Rabiane in the first game can only reach the final boss if she let one of these slugs to bang her.
