so what sub-events was added? if it include dealing with the outerworlder boss in the cathedral again i'm not touching it

In the update from a couple of months ago? New spider miniboss, slightly extended the existing tavern drunkard scene, and a sub-event in the town involving two sick elderly men in thrall to a priest who then brainwash and rape Haanja (if you let her attend to them alone, which can be repeated infinitely), or brainwash and rape both Lilia and Haanja as a bad end if you lose a fight to them.

I haven't read anyone saying anything good about the tavern extension.
The spider boss defeat scene may be good if you're into oviposition but it's quite short.
The scenes with the Priest and the elderly are pretty decent.
Up to you to decide. I wouldn't start a new game over it but it's a decent treat while waiting for more updates if you've already got a completed save.

the tavern extension aint bad, it just adds an overhead view which looks kinda 3D and actually pretty dope, but it's pretty vanilla so yeah.

have you already tried night of revenge?I wonder if this game is getting anymore content... I'm fuckin' starving over here, nothing beats the aesthetic of Sinistar for me (aka a sidescroller with status effects... there's so few of them)
To be fair you don't have to start over. My save file for the earlier version already worked for 1.1.0 without me even having to move any save files, it directly read my previous save file and I could just directly go check out the new content.
Any games apart from Sinisistar 1 that are just like this even if there is no combat its fine
Can we get a recommendation that isn't the fully appreciated Night of Revenge, but of similar or equal quality?
I wish I knew of more games similar to Sinistar, but I couldn't quite find anything of this sort anywhere else, only some platformers that do some specific elements of Sinistar with wildly different vibe. NoR is the closest. Thornsin tries to be something similar but it's half-baked and not worth playing right now IMO.
Graveyard Executioner goes all in on the guro tag and I think it does it well for guro enjoyers.
Mission Mermaiden and Hachina Ghost Story of the same dev Hakkaku feature status effects that can make your gameplay more difficult and can lead to bad ends. Generally enjoyable games.

Try Unholy Creation games like Unholy Sanctuary its also similar and the mc is also a nun, their other games is also worth playing like the Unholy Disaster. The circle is active and currently making games i love every sidescroller game they made.
